| 20110275563 | Use of CTGF as a Cardioprotectant - The present invention is based upon the surprising discovery that Connective Tissue Growth Factor (CTGF) may act directly on the heart as a cardioprotective factor and provides CTGF for use in the treatment of a subject who has incurred or is incurring damage to the heart, wherein said CTGF is for administration during or after the heart-damaging event. The invention also relates to CTGF for use in protection of the heart during or after surgery or during ex vivo transportation or storage of an explanted heart. | 11-10-2011 |

| 20090083773 | EXPANDABLE DATA STORAGE SYSTEM AND METHOD WITH CARTRIDGE PASS-THROUGH BETWEEN CARTRIDGE HANDLING UNITS - An apparatus and method for expanding capacity of a data cartridge storage and handling apparatus includes a modification to permit a second data cartridge storage and handling apparatus to be added to the system at a position to permit exchange of data cartridges via a pass-through opening. A pass-through box is added in one of the storage and handling units, the pass-through box having a portion shaped like a cartridge so that it is gripped by a gripper of a cartridge shuttle. A second part of the pass-through box holds a cartridge so that the shuttle can hold the pass-through box in a position to extend the cartridge it is holding into the other storage and handling apparatus. A marking system is provided to ensure proper spacing of the units from one another. A connection and control coordinates the operation thereof. The pass-through box is installed by being inserted in a replacement storage magazine. The housings of the storage and handling apparatus have a removable cover to permit opening of the pass-through opening. | 03-26-2009 |

| 20100216870 | Novel Genes Encoding a Nystatin Polyketide Synthase and Their Manipulation and Utility - The invention provides a nucleic acid molecule comprising: (a) a nucleotide sequence as shown in SEQ ID No. 35; or (b) a nucleotide sequence which is the complement of SEQ ID No. 35; or (c) a nucleotide sequence which is degenerate with SEQ ID No. 35; or (d) a nucleotide sequence hybridising under conditions of high stringency to SEQ ID No. 35, to the complement of SEQ ID No. 35, or to a hybridisation probe derived from SEQ ID No. 35 or the complement thereof; or (e) a nucleotide sequence having at least 80% sequence identity with SEQ ID No. 35; or (f) a nucleotide sequence having at least 65% sequence identity with SEQ ID No. 35 wherein said sequence preferably encodes or is complementary to a sequence encoding a nystatin PKS enzyme or a part thereof. Also provided are part of such molecules and polypeptides (and parts thereof) encoded by such a nucleic acid molecule, and the use of such molecules and polypeptides in facilitating nystatin biosynthesis and in the synthesis of nystatin derivatives and novel polyketide as macrolide structures. | 08-26-2010 |
| 20100286077 | COMPOUNDS - The present invention provides a compound of formula (I′) which is a nystatin derivative having an additional double bond present between C28 and C29 and which is further modified relative to nystatin at one or more of positions C5, C7, C9, C10, C11, C16 or at the amino group of mycosamine. These compounds are used as anti-fungal agents. | 11-11-2010 |
