20100064831INFINITELY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION WITH HYBRID ACCELERATOR - Disclosed are systems, assemblies, and components that relate to power transfer. In particular, the disclosed systems includes a transmission that offers variable speeds and changes between different gear ratios while maintaining constant engagement. Constant engagement may be maintained by tooth-to-tooth contact to be scalable for a variety of applications. An example system includes a phase shifting mechanism. The phase shifting mechanism may include an eccentric gear that provides an oscillating output. The oscillating output creates an overall gear ratio change that slides between gear ratios, thereby allowing changes to occur in small, and possibly infinitely small increments. According to one example, an eccentric gear has a changing base radius and includes a tooth with a hybrid profile that has a base the width of an initial profile, and a width at a top of the tooth that is that of a final profile.03-18-2010

20090074261INTERACTIVE SYSTEM FOR RECOGNITION ANALYSIS OF MULTIPLE STREAMS OF VIDEO - A method of identifying an object captured in a video image in a multi-camera video surveillance system is disclosed. Sets of identifying information are stored in profiles, each profile being associated with one object. The disclosed method of identifying an object includes comparing identifying information extracted from images captured by the video surveillance system to one or more stored profiles. A confidence score is calculated for each comparison and used to determine a best match between the extracted set of identifying information and an object. In one embodiment, the method is used as part of a facial recognition system incorporated into a video surveillance system.03-19-2009
20100080492GROUPING ITEMS IN VIDEO STREAM IMAGES INTO EVENTS - A technique is disclosed for determining when to close a group of a plurality of groups. A closed group is one to which an image set may not be added. Each group includes one or more image sets. Each image set includes one or more images of at least one object. Each group corresponds to an object that is common among images in the one or more image sets that belong to the group. Determining when to close a particular group is based, at least in part, on one or more factors, such as how many image sets are in the particular group, the length of time the particular group has been open, and data about the one or more image sets in the particular group.04-01-2010
20110032353PRESENTING VIDEO DATA - A method of displaying video surveillance system information is disclosed. Video clips associated with events are represented by event cards. The event cards include frames selected from the video clips associated with the events. Event cards include metadata, and can be annotated. Display of overlapping event cards causes a compressed event card to be displayed. Selection of a compressed event card dynamically expands the compressed event card to display a paneled event card.02-10-2011

20100103008System and method of signal sensing, sampling and processing through the exploitation of channel mismatch effects - A system for sensing, sampling and processing an input signal includes an encoding subsystem for sensing and sampling the input signal into a plurality of distinct data paths using a sub-Nyquist sampling rate. The system architecture is designed to induce encoded variations between the plurality of data paths, such as channel differences in amplitude or phase. The system additionally includes a decoding subsystem for reconstructing the encoded signal back to its original bandwidth. Preferably, the decoding subsystem exploits mismatch effects between the plurality of data paths as a form of signal diversity to resolve ambiguities introduced from sub-Nyquist signal sampling during signal reconstruction.04-29-2010
