20080223895COMBUSTION-POWERED TOOL WITH IMPROVED IGNITION STARTING FEATURE - A combustion-powered driving tool for driving nails or other fasteners includes a push lever, a push switch, a trigger switch, a combustion chamber, a sparkplug, and a control section. The push switch is provided for detecting that the push lever is pressed against the workpiece and outputs a first signal indicative of a pressed condition. The trigger switch is provided for instructing to drive the fastener into the workpiece. The trigger switch outputs a second signal indicative of an instruction to drive the fastener. The sparkplug is exposed in the combustion chamber and ignites a mixture of air and flammable gas in the combustion chamber to create a driving force for driving the fastener into the workpiece. The control section is responsive to the first signal and the second signal and commences an igniting operation of the sparkplug at a timing after expiration of a prescribed period of time staring from a timing at which the first signal is output from the push switch.09-18-2008
20080231229Charging Device - A charging device includes a charging unit, a detecting unit, a determining unit, a current generating unit, an adjusting unit, and a display unit. The charging unit charges a battery. The detecting unit detects a voltage developed across the battery. The determining unit determines a charging state of the battery based on the voltage. The current generating unit generates a current. The adjusting unit adjusts the current based on the charging state. The display unit emits a first light having a first color and a first intensity in response to the current supplied thereto. The first intensity changes in accordance with changing of the current.09-25-2008
20080231236Battery Charger Operable for Selective One of a Plurality of Power Supplies - A battery charger is configured to use selective one of two or more power supplies including a commercial AC power supply and a DC power supply. An AC cable is fixedly secured to the body of the battery charger and a DC cable is detachably connected to the body of the battery charger. A single transformer is employed that has a first primary winding to which the AC power supply is connected a first switching element, a second primary winding to which the DC power supply is connected via a second switching element, and a secondary winding to which a battery pack to be charged is coupled.09-25-2008
20090051313Battery Charger - A battery charger capable of improving a visibility to a light emitting display portion for facilitating recognition of a charge state of a battery. The battery charger has a housing and a display unit including the light emitting portion protruding from an outer surface of the housing.02-26-2009
20110031975Battery-Driven Power Tool and Battery Pack Therefor - A battery pack includes a chargeable battery, a battery voltage detecting section, and a determining section. The battery voltage detecting section is configured to detect a battery voltage output from the rechargeable battery. The determining section is configured to determine a voltage level status of the rechargeable battery based on the battery voltage detected by the battery voltage detecting section. The determining section is free from determining the voltage level status when a rate of change in the battery voltage is equal to or greater than a predetermined criteria. Such a battery pack is used for a power tool.02-10-2011
