20100084815"Non-wagering Game for Reallocating Collectible and Hobby-Related Items" - A game apparatus where players contribute hobby items to be reallocated. The game apparatus is comprised of a plurality of player game boards, each different from all others and including thereon a combination of randomized words arranged in rows and columns, each randomized word pertaining to a hobby; a plurality of terminology disks, each different from all others and containing one of the randomized words; and a plurality of marker disks in which one terminology disk is selected and the players use a marker disk to cover the corresponding word on his or her player game board. When one of the player game boards is covered by the marker disks in a pre-designated pattern (such as a designated line, shape, or four-corner configuration), that player collects the hobby items contributed by the players.04-08-2010

20090138454Semi-Automatic Example-Based Induction of Semantic Translation Rules to Support Natural Language Search - Technologies are described herein for generating a semantic translation rule to support natural language search. In one method, a first expression and a second expression are received. A first representation is generated based on the first expression, and a second representation is generated based on the second expression. Aligned pairs of a first term in the first representation and a second term in the second representation are determined. For each aligned pair, the first term and the second term are replaced with a variable associated with the aligned pair. Word facts that occur in both the first representation and the second representation are removed from the first representation and the second representation. The remaining word facts in the first representation are replaced with a broader representation of the word facts. The translation rule including the first representation, an operator, and the second semantic representation is generated.05-28-2009

20110190273METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS IN THE TREATMENT OF CORONAVIRUSES - The invention relates generally to the field of virology, and relates to the identification and characterization of the targets involved in the evasion strategy of viruses and to the use thereof in methods to identify anti-viral compounds. More in particular to identify compounds which are modulators of myosin light chain kinase (MLCK), a target within said entry and immune-evasion strategy. Other aspects of the invention are directed to anti-viral compounds identified using the models and methods of the present invention, as well as to the use thereof in treating viral infections, such as for example caused by the feline infectious peritonitis virus (FIPV), a coronavirus which belongs to an antigenic group which comprises in particular feline enteric coronavirus (FECV), canine coronavirus (CCV), swine transmissible gastroenteritis coronavirus (TGEV), porcine respiratory coronavirus (PRCV) and human coronavirus (HCV), and which induces, in a host-dependent manner, a range of symptoms which range from mild enteritis to the severe debilitating disease, and, in some cases, up to death. In a particular aspect the present invention provides the use of MLCK inhibitors for the treatment of feline infectious peritonitis (FIP).08-04-2011

20090197482STAMPED BEAM CONNECTOR - An electrical connector includes a first and second array of flexible beams that are overlapped within a hood and that define a substantially cylindrically cavity for receiving a mating connector. Contact areas of each of the flexible beams may be shaped to define multiple contact points, thus increasing the overall area available for current to pass.08-06-2009

20100297102SEROTONIN 5-HT3A RECEPTORS IN TREATMENT OF NEUROLOGICAL AND PSYCHIATRIC DISORDERS - Methods are provided for modulating post-natal migration of neurons. Activation of the 5-HT3A receptor increases migration, while pharmacological blockade of the 5-HT3A receptor disrupts neuroblast migration into the cortex and hippocampus. These neuroblasts mature into GABAergic interneurons, and thus are relevant to conditions associated with disturbances in 5-HT levels and GABAergic inhibition.11-25-2010

20100090440SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING GYROSCOPIC STABILIZATION TO A WHEELED VEHICLE - This invention provides a stabilizing system and method for two-wheeled vehicles that affords the rider no restriction on the full range of movements (banks, leans, etc.) common to bicycles, but that provides greater stability during turns and other maneuvers so that an unintentional bank or tilt (potentially causing a fall) is less likely, even at relatively slow speeds and startup. A rotating mass of predetermined mass-value and radial mass-distribution is provided coaxially with the front axle. The mass is supported on bearings so as to freewheel with respect to the rotation of the front wheel. As such it can be induced to spin significantly faster than the front wheel thereby generating a gyroscopic effect at the front wheel about the axle. This gyroscopic effect influences the steering of the wheel by the rider. Due to precession, the wheel tends to follow any excessive bank by the vehicle, ensuring that the rider can “steer-out-of” an unintended tilt or bank. Likewise, the gyroscopic effect limits the rider's ability to execute excessive steering, thereby preventing jackknife movements. The mass can be an electric-motor-driven flywheel within a shell housing that includes a battery, control system and drive motor. The drive motor engages a surface of the flywheel with a drive tire in a resilient manner to reduce potential damage to the motor.04-15-2010
