20110241883METHOD FOR USING A TABLE OF DATA TO CONTROL ACCESS TO A SECURE CONTAINER - A container has a lid and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism includes a male wall with a switch. A female wall mounts to the inside wall of the container and, when closed, encompasses the male wall. The female wall has a magnet that activates the switch. A lever contained inside the male wall moves into and out of a slot formed in the female wall. The switch completes a circuit that generates a close signal to the lever when the lid is closed. A button extends through a hole in the lid such that the button can be depressed to indicate locking and cannot be depressed when unlocked. When unlocked, the button cannot be depressed because the lever blocks the button. To open the container when closed, the actuation mechanism moves the lever in response to an entered code that must match a stored code or calculated content-specific code.10-06-2011

20100076779METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR RECORDING AND MANAGING MANUFACTURING CAPACITY ATTRIBUTES - The present invention comprises methods and systems that provide the ability to record and manage manufacturing capacity attributes that describe the capacity at its lowest level of configurability—supporting the specification, planning, matching, and trading of the capacity. This is generally accomplished by first establishing a common data model that can store relational datasets of attributes for the various types of requirements and equipment, with accuracy and precision down to their lowest allowed levels of configurability. The present invention also provides a set of user interfaces (Uls) that provide a means to browse, filter, search, view, edit, group, report, and communicate the attribute datasets. Each dataset can also be originated or updated through an ability to import attribute information from manufacturing equipment, attribute files, other database systems, and the like. Furthermore, the present invention also provides the foundation for enabling other capacity management functions such as planning, matching, and trading of capacity03-25-2010

20090216598Methods and Systems for Planning Configurable Manufacturing Capacity - The present invention comprises methods and systems that provide manufacturing capacity configuration, allocation, and procurement plans based on manufacturing demand, operational constraints, and other user inputs. This is generally accomplished by modeling the capabilities of the equipment comprising the capacity at its lowest allowed level of configurability. By defining capacity requirements at those same or lower levels, configuration, allocation, and procurement plans can be generated from an aggregated capacity demand forecast. In addition, the present invention allows for constraints (e.g. special equipment limitations, demand priorities, temporal requirements, financial targets, etc.) from various business areas to be considered when generating the plans. Furthermore, for each plan, the present invention also identifies any excess capacity—again described at the lowest allowed level of configurability—and generates expected manufacturing, financial, and other performance metrics.08-27-2009
20090248186Methods and Systems for Matching Configurable Manufacturing Capacity Requirements and Availability - The present invention comprises methods and systems that provide the ability to functionally and temporally match configurable manufacturing capacity requirements and availability at their lowest levels of configurability. This is generally accomplished by first modeling the capabilities of the equipment comprising the required capacity and available capacity at their lowest allowed levels of configurability. Each of the required capabilities is then matched in turn against the corresponding available capabilities, generating a match ranking based on capability alignment and substitutability, as well as business objectives. In addition, the present invention identifies needed or excess capacity components for a given match—again described at the lowest allowed level of configurability. Furthermore, the present invention also iteratively matches capacity according to varying combinations of specified search attributes and terms to provide a sortable list of match results.10-01-2009

20090013359INDIVIDUALIZED DIGITAL MEDIA DELIVERY SYSTEMS - Systems and methods for individualized distribution of digital content to purchasers via portable kiosks are described. The systems contain a storage device for storing the digital content and distribution devices for distributing the digital content to a user. The distribution devices can be configured to be portable so that users who are not mobile can access the distribution device. As well, the users can use a receiving device containing unique identification data to receive and access the digital content. Such a system is extremely useful for users who are not mobile and whose use of the distribution devices needs to be controlled, such as detainees in a corrections facility. Other embodiments are described.01-08-2009
20100174655DIGITAL CONTENT DISTRIBUTION USING IDENTIFICATION TAGS - Systems and methods for storing and distributing digital content using RFID tags are described. The systems contain a storage device for the digital content, a display device that provides an offer for the digital content, a capture device for accepting the offer, a distribution device for distributing the content to the user, and a receiving device for receiving the digital content. In some configurations, the display device can contain an RFID chip that places an RFID tag in the capture device. The RFID tag can be used to retrieve the digital content from the distribution device. In some configurations, the distribution device can be a kiosk and the capture device can be also be used as the receiving device to retrieve the digital content from the kiosk. This system allows the decision to obtain the digital content to be an impulse decision since the RFID tag can be quickly and easily be downloaded from the display device. The actual content can then be retrieved at a more convenient time when the user comes in contact with the kiosk. Other embodiments are described.07-08-2010

20090012873SYSTEMS FOR MANAGING DIGITAL MEDIA DISTRIBUTION - Systems and methods for organizing and managing the collection and distribution of digital content to users via a network of kiosks are described. The systems contain a conglomerate of software applications that can be combined to manage the digital content itself, as well as manage the kiosks that used to distribute the digital content. The software applications are also able to manage the payments received by the users and the payments made to the providers of the digital content. The software applications can be web-based so that they can be accessed and operated via a single portal. Other embodiments are also described.01-08-2009
