20100170627LENS PAD, LENS PAD MANUFACTURING METHOD, LENS MANUFACTURING METHOD, AND ADHESIVE MEMBER - A lens pad includes a blank, first adhesive layer, and release sheet. The first adhesive layer is formed on one surface of the blank. The release sheet comes into tight contact with the surface of the first adhesive layer to protect this surface. The arithmetic average roughness of the surface of the release sheet on the side of the first adhesive layer is 0.1 μm or less. The surface of the first adhesive layer from which the release sheet is peeled off is attached onto a lens as an edging target. A lens pad, a lens pad manufacturing method, a lens manufacturing method, and an adhesive member are also disclosed.07-08-2010

20090262433LENS ARRAY OF ERECTING UNIT MAGNIFICATION SYSTEM, IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND IMAGE WRITING APPARATUS USING THE LENS ARRAY, AS WELL AS METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE LENS ARRAY - The conventional lens array of an erecting unit magnification system is composed of an inside lens of spherical shape and an outside lens of spherical or aspherical shape, and has a problem to be improved for the resulting MTF performance. A lens array of an erecting unit magnification system is provided by stacking a first and a second planar-shaped lens array plates. Each of the first and second planar-shaped lens array plates includes a plurality of outside lenses (L10-22-2009
20100001296LIGHT-EMITTING ELEMENT ARRAY WITH MICRO-LENSES AND OPTICAL WRITING HEAD - A light-emitting element array with the improvement of the light-emitting efficiency and the improvement of the uneven amount of light is provided.01-07-2010
20100128353IMAGING OPTICAL SYSTEM, IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND IMAGE READING APPARATUS USING THE IMAGING OPTICAL SYSTEM - An imaging optical system a high quality image may be implemented by determining the optimum design conditions for suppressing the generation of ghost while holding uniform and sufficient light using a simulation method. In the imaging optical system having a slit, the requirements for removing the stray light are the inclination of a lens arrangement direction, the slit width, the lens pitch, the view angle, and the height of the light-shielding wall. The slit location, the lens thickness, and the lens row width do not affect the stray light removal, but affect the brightness. In the imaging optical system having no slit, the essential requirements for removing the stray light are the height of the light-shielding wall and the lens pitch. The lens thickness and the lens row width do not affect the stray light removal, but affect the brightness.05-27-2010

20080302505Evaporative cooling system - The evaporative cooling system comprises: evaporative cooling modules, a liquid supply system which comprises a liquid supply pump and a tube, and which supplies a refrigerant liquid to the evaporative cooling modules; an air supply system which comprises air supply tubes, and which supplies warm air to the evaporative cooling modules; an exhaust system which comprises an exhaust pump and a tube, and which exhausts air containing a refrigerant vapor from the evaporative cooling modules; a reflux system which comprises a primary heat exchanger and a reflux tube, and which condenses the refrigerant vapor to return the condensed refrigerant liquid to the liquid supply system; and a heat exhaust system which comprises a secondary heat exchanger and tubes, and which discharges heat absorbed from the primary heat exchanger.12-11-2008
20110083135VIRTUAL COMPUTER SYSTEMS AND COMPUTER VIRTUALIZATION PROGRAMS - Disclosed are a virtual computer system and method, wherein computer resources are automatically and optimally allocated to logical partitions according to loads to be accomplished by operating systems in the logical partitions and setting information based on a knowledge of workloads that run on the operating systems. Load measuring modules are installed on the operating systems in order to measure the loads to be accomplished by the operating systems. A manager designates the knowledge concerning the workloads on the operating systems through a user interface. An adaptive control module determines the allocation rations of the computer resources relative to the logical partitions according to the loads and the settings, and issues an allocation varying instruction to a hypervisor so as to thus instruct variation of allocations.04-07-2011

20110187996EYE EXAMINATION APPARATUS, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SPECTACLE LENS, SPECTACLE LENS, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MULTIFOCAL EYEGLASSES, AND MULTIFOCAL EYEGLASSES - An eye examination apparatus includes an accommodation power acquisition unit, a corrected accommodation power calculation unit, a drive unit and an accommodative microfluctuation measurement unit. The accommodation power acquisition unit acquires an accommodation power which is determined from a difference between a near point and a distant point of an examined eye. The corrected accommodation power calculation unit calculates an integrated value of the accommodation power and a correction coefficient. The drive unit drives a vision target in a direction of an optical axis of the examined eye. The accommodative microfluctuation measurement unit controls the drive unit to cause the vision target to be arranged onto a corrected accommodation position corresponding to the integrated value, such that the accommodative microfluctuation measurement unit measures an eye accommodation function based on a frequency of appearance of a high frequency component representative of ciliary body accommodative microfluctuation.08-04-2011

20100122360Organ regeneration method utilizing blastocyst complementation - An object of the present invention is to produce a mammalian organ having a complicated cellular composition composed of multiple kinds of cells, such as kidney, pancreas, thymus and hair, in the living body of a non-human animal. The inventors of the present invention applied the chimeric animal assay described above, to a novel solid organ production method. More specifically, the inventors has shown that a model mouse which is deficient of kidney, pancreas, thymus or hair due to the dysfunction of the metanephric mesenchyme that is differentiated into most of an adult kidney, is rescued by blastocyst complementation by the chimeric animal assay, and whereby a kidney, a pancreas, thymus or hair can be newly produced.05-13-2010
