20110061596POSITIONING OF TEAT CUPS - An arrangement for fetching a teat cup from a teat cup magazine in which each teat cup has a respective fixed position includes a reference entity in a fixed spatial relationship to the teat cup magazine and each teat cup stored therein; a remote detecting element that registers wireless energy reflected by the reference entity, and based thereon determines a respective position for the teat cup relative to a robotic arm. The robotic arm carries a gripper element configured to hold the teat cup during removal thereof from the teat cup magazine. The reference entity is configured to allow the remote detecting element to receive wireless energy reflected against the reference entity while moving the robotic arm towards the least one teat cup for removing the at least teat cup from the teat cup magazine.03-17-2011
20110226183HANDLING OF TEAT CUPS - Teat cups are fetched from a teat cup magazine by a gripper carried on a robotic arm. The gripper grips and removes teat cups from the teat cup magazine. The gripper also holds at least one teat cup during transport thereof towards an udder where an animal's teats are located. A positioning element determines position estimates representing at least one spatial characteristic of the udder. Based on the position estimates, the robotic arm and the gripper are controlled to attach the teat cups to the teats where the position estimates constitutes a basis for controlling the robotic arm and the gripper to remove teat cups from the teat cup magazine in such a manner that a teat-receiving end of the teat cup attains a horizontal level in the gripper, which horizontal level is adapted to the at least one spatial characteristic of the udder.09-22-2011

20100091699PROFILE-BASED BANDWIDTH SCHEDULER - A profile-based scheduler is disclosed. In other embodiments, the profile-based scheduler may profile previously accessed websites and/or FTP sites. In doing so, the profile may compile bandwidth requirements for all such profiled websites and/or FTP sites within a lookup table. When a website and/or FTP site is accessed, the profiler may grant the bandwidth associated with the website or FTP site within the lookup table. In some embodiments, the profiler may create entries not only based on websites and/or FTP sites but may also profile users, TCP connections, web browser configurations and/or web browser types.04-15-2010

20090158719Emission Treatment System - An emission treatment system and method for remediating the nitrogen oxides (NOx), particulate matter, and gaseous hydrocarbons present in diesel engine exhaust streams are described. The emission treatment system has an oxidation catalyst upstream of a soot filter upstream from a NOx reducing catalyst.06-25-2009
20090288402Emission Treatment Catalysts, Systems and Methods - Zoned diesel oxidation catalysts containing a higher precious metal loading in the inlet zone that the outlet zone and an equal or shorter length inlet zone are described. Emission treatment systems and methods of remediating nitrogen oxides (NOx), particulate matter, and gaseous hydrocarbons using zoned diesel oxidation catalysts are also described.11-26-2009

20080317568Garbage truck and self-contained loading and unloading system therefor - An elongated container of a truck has a closed front end wall and a hinged rear outlet closure, and a side infeed opening for receiving garbage. This empty container is configured to receive an elongated base upon which is mounted a reciprocating conveyor floor for moving garbage in the container outward through the opened rear closure for deposit at a garbage disposal site. The power drive mechanism for driving the reciprocating floor is located at the front end of the container and is shielded from input garbage by a deflector secured to the reciprocating floor. The deflector also serves as a pusher for compacting and moving garbage in the container out through the opened rear closure. The self-contained reciprocating floor is easily carried manually and fed through the opened rear closure and secured firmly in the truck container.12-25-2008
