20090023447Data processing in intra-site handover - The invention involves data processing during intra-site handover procedures. At least two directional antennas of a base station receive user data carrying signals originating from a mobile units positioned in an intra-site handover area defined by the overlapping radio coverage of the antennas. The directional antennas performs an initial data signal detection of the received data signals resulting in detected user data, which typically results in a loss of radio performance of the antenna. The detected user data from the directional antennas is then jointly processed to generate processed user data. The performance loss is compensated by providing differential antenna gain of the directional antennas within the handover area. As a result, a similar radio coverage in this area as prior art solutions is obtained but with a less complex antenna-related design.01-22-2009

20080267071Method of choosing nodes in a multi-network - Embodiments include methods, apparatus, and systems for choosing nodes in a multi-network. One embodiment includes a method that receives demand characteristics for nodes to form a cluster in multi-network and collapses groups of nodes in the multi-network to form a node group. The method then selects nodes that satisfy the demand characteristics in order to form the cluster.10-30-2008

20090298707SPARSE MATRIX SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFICATION OF SPECIFIC LIGANDS OR TARGETS - In certain embodiments, this invention pertains to the creation of “Sparse Matrix” libraries of compounds. The sparse matrix libraries of this invention typically span an n-dimensional parameter (property) space at extremely sparse intervals and thereby provide a relatively small library of compounds (e.g., a library of about 200 or fewer compounds) that can be used to quickly and efficiently screen the compound parameter space for one or more desired physical, chemical, or biological properties (e.g., binding specificity, binding avidity, γtoxicity, solubility, mobility, cell permeability, serum half-life, biocompatibility, etc.).12-03-2009
