After assembly of the Bowden cable and adjustment of the initial tension of the hand brake cable the interlock is cancelled by pulling powerfully on the hand brake stem. If over the years the hand brake cable stretches, a design-determined initial tension is constantly maintained by the continuous force of the resetting spring.04-28-2011
