SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING ELECTRICAL DEMAND PERFORMANCE - A method and associated system for monitoring electrical demand performance in a building, industrial complex or university campus is disclosed. According to a preferred method, historical data is initially complied and statically analyzed to determine demand forecast for a baseline day. Further according to the method, electrical demand is plotted with another indication, more particularly outside air temperature. Additionally the invention provides and electronic alert to building engineers when demand falls outside the expected demand range. Still further a control chart is provided with the expected electrical load range. Outside air temperature is also optionally considered historically and in real time in the method. The invention further contemplates commissioning building engineers to reduce demand when a real time demand is higher than an expected energy demand. A system is also disclosed herein having instrumentation and electronic devices controlled by software and transmitting data. | 02-09-2012

Measurement of Air Quality in Wireless Networks - A system for measuring air quality in wireless networks. In particular implementations, a method includes computing an interference severity level for a plurality of interference sources detected at an access point; aggregating one or more of the computed interference severity levels relative to the access point; and computing an air quality metric for the access point, wherein the air quality metric based at least in part on an equation: 1—aggregated interference severity level. | 01-08-2009
Correlating Multiple Detections of Wireless Devices Without a Unique Identifier - At a plurality of first devices, wireless transmissions are received at different locations in a region where multiple target devices may be emitting. Identifier data associated with reception of emissions from target devices at multiple first devices is generated. Similar identifier data associated with received emissions at multiple first devices are grouped together into a cluster record that potentially represents the same target device detected by multiple first devices. Data is stored that represents a plurality of cluster records from identifier data associated with received emissions made over time by multiple first devices. The cluster records are analyzed over time to correlate detections of target devices across multiple first devices. | 12-31-2009
UTILIZING PERSISTENT INTERFERENCE INFORMATION FOR RADIO CHANNEL SELECTION - In an example embodiment, an apparatus selects radio channels based on persistent interference device information. The apparatus comprises a wireless transceiver operable to communicate over a plurality of channels and channel selection logic in communication with the wireless transceiver and operable to select a channel for the wireless transceiver. The channel selection logic is operable to acquire data representative of intensity, duration and rate of occurrence for at least one persistent interference device detected by the wireless transceiver operating on at least one of the plurality of channels. The channel selection logic is operable to select a channel for the wireless transceiver based on the data representative of intensity, duration and rate of occurrence for the at least one persistent interference device. | 07-15-2010

AMORPHOUS SOFT MAGNETIC SHIELDING AND KEEPER FOR MRAM DEVICES - An amorphous soft magnetic thin film material for forming shielding and keeper applications in MRAM devices. The amorphous soft magnetic material may be deposited using Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) in the presence of a magnetic field, in order to form shielding layers and keepers in a multi-layer metallization process. The soft magnetic material may be an amorphous metallic alloy, such as CoZrX, where X may be Ta, Nb, Pd and/or Rh. | 02-26-2009

"Iontron" ion beam deposition source and a method for sputter deposition of different layers using this source - The present invention discloses technology for thin film ion beam sputter deposition on a substrate. The apparatus is a self-contained ion beam deposition source, which can be attached to or positioned inside of a vacuum chamber where substrates are located. This source consists of one or more ion beam sources combined with one or more sputtering targets and a unified magnetic field acting as a devise controlling delivery of the charged particles to the treated by the Iontron workpiece (substrate). The ion beam emits ion beams toward the target that generate sputtered particles directed toward the substrate, thus creating a thin film on the surface of the substrate. The target can be electrically biased, not biased or floating, thus allowing for modulation of the location upon which the charged ions impinge the target. Additionally, the position of the target can be adjusted relatively to the ion beam. | 01-22-2009
