20080243999METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGEMENT OF AN APPLICATION ENSEMBLE - A method and a communication system having an Application Ensemble Service server is provided that manage an application ensemble having multiple applications running on one or more user terminals. The communication system allows a user to collectively transfer the ensemble from a source terminal or terminals to a target terminal or terminals, for example, from voice and data terminals to other voice and data terminals or to a single user terminal. The communication system further allows the user to selectively transfer applications of the ensemble, such as transferring only the voice session from the voice terminal to another voice or voice/data terminal, and to copy an ensemble, or a portion of an ensemble, from a source terminal to a target terminal, wherein the ensemble or portion of the ensemble is not removed from the source terminal. The communication system further allows a user to suspend and resume an application ensemble.10-02-2008
20100023584METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CREATING A PERSONALIZED SOCIAL NETWORK IN A TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORK - The invention describes a method and system for creating a social network in a telecommunication network. The method includes extracting one or more contact information stored in a telecommunication device of a user. The one or more contact information is added to the social network of the user in response to extracting the contact information stored in the telecommunication device of the user. The method also includes organizing the contact information based on a degree of separation between the user and the contact information. The method further includes enabling the user to perform a set of operations by using the telecommunication device in the social network. The set of operations includes posting and searching a review corresponding to an object in the social network.01-28-2010

20080208072Biopotential Waveform Data Fusion Analysis and Classification Method - Biopotential waveforms such as ERPs, EEGs, ECGs, or EMGs are classified accurately by dynamically fusing classification information from multiple electrodes, tests, or other data sources. These different data sources or “channels” are ranked at different time instants according to their respective univariate classification accuracies. Channel rankings are determined during training phase in which classification accuracy of each channel at each time-instant is determined. Classifiers are simple univariate classifiers which only require univariate parameter estimation. Using classification information, a rule is formulated to dynamically select different channels at different time-instants during the testing phase. Independent decisions of selected channels at different time instants are fused into a decision fusion vector. The resulting decision fusion vector is optimally classified using a discrete Bayes classifier. Finally, the dynamic decision fusion system provides high classification accuracies, is quite flexible in operation, and overcomes major limitations of classifiers applied currently in biopotential waveform studies and clinical applications.08-28-2008

20100076756SPATIO-TEMPORAL SPEECH ENHANCEMENT TECHNIQUE BASED ON GENERALIZED EIGENVALUE DECOMPOSITION - The present invention describes a speech enhancement method using microphone arrays and a new iterative technique for enhancing noisy speech signals under low signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) environments. A first embodiment involves the processing of the observed noisy speech both in the spatial- and the temporal-domains to enhance the desired signal component speech and an iterative technique to compute the generalized eigenvectors of the multichannel data derived from the microphone array. The entire processing is done on the spatio-temporal correlation coefficient sequence of the observed data in order to avoid large matrix-vector multiplications. A further embodiment relates to a speech enhancement system that is composed of two stages. In the first stage, the noise component of the observed signal is whitened, and in the second stage a spatio-temporal power method is used to extract the most dominant speech component. In both the stages, the filters are adapted using the multichannel spatio-temporal correlation coefficients of the data and hence avoid large matrix vector multiplications.03-25-2010
