20120100273PROCESS FOR PROCESSING ANIMAL PROTEIN PRODUCT INTO COOKED, SLICED FORM - A process for processing animal protein product involves cutting a substantially raw piece of the product into slices, vacuum sealing the sliced raw product in a pouch with the slices stacked tightly together, cooking the vacuum sealed product to at least its pasteurization temperature while vacuum sealed within the pouch, and refrigerating or freezing the pasteurized product still sealed in the pouch.04-26-2012

20100290692SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATED CHARACTERIZATION OF GENETIC HETEROGENEITY IN TISSUE SAMPLES - Systems and methods for the quantitative automated analysis of pathology samples identify groups of spatially-associated similar cells. Cells may be identified as belonging to a group on the basis of spatial location and biomarkers. In some embodiments the biomarkers are multicolour fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) signals. Characteristics of the cells in a group may be combined to provide quantitative FISH results that may compensate for variations and artefacts such as thin sectioning that can result in the loss of information due to damage. In heterogeneous tissue samples, grouping cells can permit quantitative results regarding pathological cells to be extracted despite the presences of infiltrating non pathological cells.11-18-2010

20080304733Apparatus and Methods for Automated Assessment of Tissue Pathology - Methods and apparatus for assessing tissue pathology involve computing an index having a value based upon measures of a plurality of morphological features of cell nuclei in the tissue. The methods may be performed completely automatically or semi-automatically. The index value can be predictive of outcome. The index value may be determined by computing discriminant scores for the cell nuclei based upon values of the measures of morphological features and classifying the nuclei into bins based upon the discriminant score values. The index may be based upon proportions of the nuclei classified in different ones of the bins.12-11-2008

20100258638BANK CARD WITH A USER ACTUATABLE SWITCH - The invention concerns an electronic card including means for transmitting a signal to a user of said electronic card, an electronic unit, an electric energy source, a switch that can be actuated by a user of the electronic card and an application introduced into said electronic unit. The card further includes means for detecting actuation of said switch, arranged so as to determine whether said actuation ends within a first time interval from the start of actuation (t10-14-2010
