INTELLIGENT NETWORK SELECTION BASED ON QUALITY OF SERVICE AND APPLICATIONS OVER DIFFERENT WIRELESS NETWORKS - A system and method for selecting a wireless network is disclosed. The method relates to selecting a wireless network from a plurality of wireless networks. A variation of the invention includes selecting a new platform from a plurality of platforms offered by the current service provider according to a service request from the wireless device. The method comprises determining a requested service associated with the wireless device, determining whether one of the plurality of wireless networks can provide the requested service, and, if one of the plurality of wireless networks can provide the requested service, choosing the one wireless network of the plurality of wireless networks. The method further involves using a variety of parameters in determining which wireless network to choose for servicing the requested service from the wireless device. These parameters include quality of services, application supported, or other business factors such as roaming agreements, traffic load and cost of services. The system comprises at least one wireless network node, a wireless device, and a plurality of wireless networks communicating with each other. Either the wireless device or network node may operate to decide based on the services the wireless device user requires on which network the user will receive service from. The network assignment is accomplished to maximize the speed, cost and efficiency of transmission. | 02-25-2010

Method and apparatus for performing efficient side-channel attack resistant reduction - A time-invariant method and apparatus for performing modular reduction that is protected against cache-based and branch-based attacks is provided. The modular reduction technique adds no performance penalty and is side-channel resistant. The side-channel resistance is provided through the use of lazy evaluation of carry bits, elimination of data-dependent branches and use of even cache accesses for all memory references. | 12-30-2010
Method and apparatus for performing a shift and exclusive or operation in a single instruction - Method and apparatus for performing a shift and XOR operation. In one embodiment, an apparatus includes execution resources to execute a first instruction. In response to the first instruction, said execution resources perform a shift and XOR on at least one value. | 06-23-2011
Add Instructions to Add Three Source Operands - A method in one aspect may include receiving an add instruction. The add instruction may indicate a first source operand, a second source operand, and a third source operand. A sum of the first, second, and third source operands may be stored as a result of the add instruction. The sum may be stored partly in a destination operand indicated by the add instruction and partly a plurality of flags. Other methods are also disclosed, as are apparatus, systems, and instructions on machine-readable medium. | 06-23-2011
Multiplication Instruction for Which Execution Completes Without Writing a Carry Flag - A method in one aspect may include receiving a multiply instruction. The multiply instruction may indicate a first source operand and a second source operand. A product of the first and second source operands may be stored in one or more destination operands indicated by the multiply instruction. Execution of the multiply instruction may complete without writing a carry flag. Other methods are also disclosed, as are apparatus, systems, and instructions on machine-readable medium. | 06-23-2011
Rotate instructions that complete execution without reading carry flag - A method of one aspect may include receiving a rotate instruction. The rotate instruction may indicate a source operand and a rotate amount. A result may be stored in a destination operand indicated by the rotate instruction. The result may have the source operand rotated by the rotate amount. Execution of the rotate instruction may complete without reading a carry flag. | 06-30-2011

CORNER GUTTER SCREEN ASSEMBLY - A rain gutter screen assembly for use at the inside corner of a rain gutter. The assembly includes a screen having portions sized to overlie intersecting ends of the rain gutter sections, to allow water cascading down the roof corner to flow into the intersecting ends while blocking the entry of debris into the intersecting ends, and a central portion sized to extend outwardly beyond outboard edges of the intersecting ends in cantilever fashion; and a frame structure mounting outboard edges of the screen and defining a plate extending outwardly beyond the outboard edges of the intersecting ends in cantilever fashion in underlying relation to the central screen portion, whereby cascading water trajecting beyond the intersecting ends may pass through the central screen portion and onto the cantilever plate for redirection into the rain gutter sections. | 04-30-2009

End Cap for a Bearing Assembly - An end cap includes a body portion having an outer engagement portion for engaging an outer ring of a bearing, the bearing having an outer ring and an inner bearing structure disposed within the outer ring. The outer engagement portion is substantially annular about a central axis. The body member also has a central engagement portion for engaging the inner bearing structure. At least one of the outer engagement portion and central engagement portion is configured to mechanically couple the end cap to the bearing. | 10-09-2008
END CAP FOR A BEARING ASSEMBLY - An end cap for a bearing assembly including a first body section being substantially symmetric about a central axis of the end cap and having a first seating surface defining an opening extending through the first body section coaxially with the central axis. The end cap includes a second body section extending away from the first seating surface and terminating at a second seating surface. The opening is operable to receive a portion of an inner member of the bearing assembly. The first seating surface is operable to engage a portion of the inner member and the second seating surface is operable to slidingly engage a portion of an outer ring which is disposed around a portion of the inner member. | 02-23-2012
