20100225644Method and System for Transitioning Between Views in a Traffic Report - A method and system for transitioning between views in a traffic report are disclosed. The transition involves having the elements of both the 2D map and the 3D virtual world spatially located in the same virtual world. The transition involves moving from one part of the virtual world to another part of the virtual world while fading out the elements that are specific to the first type of graphic and showing elements that are specific to the second type of graphic. The view can be seamlessly transitioned between the 2D map view and the 3D world view, or between two different 3D world views.09-09-2010

20100288011APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PORTABLE CALIBRATION OF ELECTROFUSION CONTROLLERS - An apparatus and method for portable calibration of electrofusion controllers. The method includes providing a portable self-contained calibration device to an electrofusion controller. The calibration device includes internal or external dummy loads to simulate real fittings to be fused and instructs the electrofusion controller to apply electricity to these dummy load. Then, the calibration device uses a measurement sub-system to measure a pre-determined parameter. A microcontroller sub-system determines if there is a difference between the measured values and the expected values. If there is a difference, the calibration device adjusts the electrofusion controller's memory. The calibration device repeats the measurement with a second independent measurement device to ensure accuracy.11-18-2010

20090253339Knotted Filament Flying Disc - A flying disc is formed entirely of a knotted filament, such as knotted, stitched, or crocheted filament, which may comprise yarn, rope, or the like. A generally flat, generally circular web, defining a plane, is formed by pulling loops of the filament through other loops to form successive interconnected rows of knots using, e.g., crochet stitches. In one embodiment, the knotting proceeds in a helical pattern from a central portion of the circular web to a peripheral portion, with stitches added to an otherwise uniform stitching pattern as necessary to maintain a generally flat shape to the web. The center of the circular web may comprise knotted filament, or may include a void or hole. A circumferential lip connected to the periphery of the circular web and extending out of the plane of the circular web, at least during flight, is formed by dropping stitches from a uniform stitching pattern as necessary to create the desired shape.10-08-2009
