20110020071METHODS FOR DUST CONTROL USING MINIMAL WATER RESOURCES - Aspects of the present invention include systems and methods for the use of brine from salt mined, dissolved and moved from a natural source deposit (an evaporite deposit) to create target deposits within wetting basins originally created and flooded with fresh water for the purpose of dust control. The target deposits can mimic the stable non-dust-emissive source deposit by having horizontal beds of precipitated salts with the most soluble salts retained within a brine solution that bathes and caps the salt deposit beneath to retain the deposit in a non-desiccated state. The method provides for the preparation and management of the lakebed surface using separate steps to prevent the release of windborne dust with a minimum of water used.01-27-2011

20090319521NAME SEARCH USING A RANKING FUNCTION - An approach is described for performing a name search using a name search operation and a ranking operation. The name search operation may take text as input and apply a fuzzy matching operation and a lookup operation to generate a collection of candidate names with respective probability scores. In other cases, speech or handwriting recognition may generate the collection of candidate names and probability scores. The ranking operation may then rank these candidate names using a ranking function. The ranking function may rank the candidate names based on the probability scores associated with the names and at least one other factor. One such factor may reflect whether information provided by a user matches profile information associated with a candidate name under consideration. Another factor may reflect an extent of a nexus between the user and a person associated with the candidate name. Other types of factors can be used.12-24-2009

20090140073Method of fuel nozzle construction - A method of assembling a fuel nozzle includes providing a first nozzle component and a second nozzle component, wherein the first nozzle component is configured and adapted to engage within the second nozzle component. Braze is applied to at least one of the first and second nozzle components. The first nozzle component is assembled into the second nozzle component to provide a diametral interference fit therebetween. The method further includes joining the first and second nozzle components together. A fuel nozzle includes a first cylindrical nozzle component, a second cylindrical nozzle component disposed with an interference fit on an outward surface of the first nozzle component, and a layer of braze joiningly disposed between the first and second nozzle components.06-04-2009

20080209364METHOD FOR STORING MULTIPLE LEVELS OF DESIGN DATA IN A COMMON DATABASE - An automated logic circuit design system uses a common database to store design data at different states of the design process, including data-flow graphs, netlists and layout descriptions. In this way, the need to translate circuit descriptions between tools is eliminated, thus leading to increased speed, flexibility and integration. The common database includes entities, models, cells, pins, busses and nets. The data-flow graphs are stored as graphs, the nodes in a graph as cells, and the edges as busses. Physical design data is available by storing the cells in a model in a KD tree. This allows queries on cells in the netlist located in the layout within arbitrary areas.08-28-2008
