20090271717OPERATING METHOD FOR A COMPUTER WITH EMBEDDED BROWSER - A computer executes a program, wherein said computer opens a usage window of a user interface of the program when calling said the program. In the execution of the program with an opened usage window, the computer receives usage commands for a usage part of the program from a user of the computer via an input device. The computer presents the usage commands during the input of the usage commands in the usage window, or in a usage command window of the user interface that is associated with the usage window. The computer effects the execution of a usage action corresponding with the respective usage command after the validation of the respective usage command. Furthermore, the computer receives retrieval commands from the user via the input device to retrieve additional information. The computer presents the retrieval commands in a retrieval command window of the user interface during the input of said retrieval commands. The computer retrieves the corresponding additional information from a web server after the validation of the respective retrieval command and outputs said corresponding additional information to the user via the retrieval command window, or an information window associated with said retrieval command window. The retrieval and output of the additional information is an action different from the usage action. The information window, the retrieval command window, the usage window and the usage command window are different windows.10-29-2009
20100201708METHOD AND DEVICE SELECTIVE PRESENTATION OF TWO IMAGES INDIVIDUALLY OR COMBINED AS A FUSION IMAGE - In a method and device to show two different images (determined from a first image data set and a second image data set) of at least one imaging modality (in particular a medical imaging modality), the images can be presented together on a display device with a presentation area as a fusion image or as individual images. A detection arrangement associated with the display device detects a movement of at least one finger of a user on the or in the immediate proximity of the presentation area or a contact of the presentation area and, depending on the detection, produces a change of the presentation of the fusion image, or changes between an individual image presentation and fusion image presentation or between two individual image presentations. A change from the first image to the second image is produced based on a movement of at least one finger ensuing essentially parallel to the presentation area, or the display of the first image is produced or removed based on a movement of at least one finger ensuing essentially parallel to the presentation area, with the display of the second image not being altered by the movement.08-12-2010
20100253335METHOD FOR IMAGE DATA ACQUISITION WITH A MAGNETIC RESONANCE DEVICE - In a method for image data acquisition of a region of interest in a subject with a magnetic resonance device, wherein, to establish the field of view, a minimal geometric shape encompassing the subject to be acquired and/or the surface of the subject is determined automatically from previously acquired localizer exposures as aliasing information for each exposure, at least one slice plane is determined for the acquisition of the region, and the phase coding direction and/or the extent of the field of view in the phase coding direction is determined for every slice plane using the aliasing information.10-07-2010

20090107523METHOD AND TOOL FOR CLEANING CAVITIES - A method for cleaning cavities in workpieces, a cleaning device for this purpose and a device for the supply of media to a cleaning device of this type. Supercritical carbon dioxide is introduced into the cavity and the cavity is rinsed. The supercritical carbon dioxide located in the cavity is relieved of pressure after rinsing of the cavity, so that carbon dioxide gas and carbon dioxide snow are formed in the cavity and subsequently driven out of the cavity.04-30-2009

20090257950Membrane Scaffold Proteins - The membrane scaffold proteins (MSP) of the present invention assemble with hydrophobic or partially hydrophobic proteins to form soluble nanoscale particles which preserve native structure and function; they are improved over liposomes and detergent micelles, both in terms of stability and preservation of biological activity and native conformation. In the presence of phospholipid, MSPs form nanoscopic phospholipid bilayer disks, with the MSP stabilizing the particle at the perimeter of the bilayer domain. The particle bilayer structure allows manipulation of incorporated proteins in solution or on solid supports, including for use with such surface-sensitive techniques as scanning probe microscopy or surface plasmon resonance. The nanoscale particles, which are robust in terms of integrity and maintenance of biological activity of incorporated proteins, facilitate pharmaceutical and biological research, structure/function correlations, structure determinations, bioseparations, and drug discovery.10-15-2009
