| 20110231211 | METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR ISSUING A GIFT ANNUITY - The teachings disclosed herein can be directed to an intermediary coordinating the administration of a 54Freedom gift annuity arrangement between a donor and both a charity and insurance company. The charity receives the gift and the annuity contract is between the donor and the insurance company. This arrangement provides flexibility in the annuity contract, a new financial product for financial specialists to market, a more certain financial annuity arrangement post-mortem for the donor's estate, and a better incentivized financial party to which the donor can consult. The method can include consultation by the intermediary, e.g. a financial specialist, with the donor to determine a suitability of an annuity contract for the donor. The method can further include coordination by the intermediary of a purchase of the annuity contract by the donor with an insurance company as opposed to with the charity, which receives the gift. | 09-22-2011 |

| 20080225484 | THERMAL PILLOW - Methods, apparatus and assemblies for enhancing heat transfer in electronic components using a flexible thermal pillow. The flexible thermal pillow has a thermally conductive material sealed between top and bottom conductive layers, with the bottom layer having a flexible reservoir residing on opposing sides of a central portion of the pillow that has a gap. The pillow may have roughened internal surfaces to increase an internal surface area within the pillow for enhanced heat dissipation. In an electronic assembly, the central portion of the pillow resides between a heat sink and heat-generating component for the thermal coupling there-between. During thermal cycling, the flexible reservoir of the pillow expands to retain thermally conductive material extruded from the gap, and then contracts to force such extruded material back into the gap. An external pressure source may contact the pillow for further forcing the extruded thermally conductive material back into the gap. | 09-18-2008 |

| 20090245008 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING VOLTAGE POWER GATING - A system and method for providing voltage power gating. The system includes a device for providing voltage power gating. The device includes logic circuitry, a mechanism for receiving a control signal associated with the logic circuitry and a selector. The control signal indicates an active state or an idle state of the logic circuitry. The selector enables a power source to the logic circuitry in response to the control signal indicating the active state. The selector also disables the power source to the logic circuitry in response to the control signal indicating the idle state. Thus, the power source is dynamically eliminated from the logic circuitry on the device when it is in the idle state. | 10-01-2009 |
