20080222613METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DATA PROCESSING - A method and system can include multiple data handling stages for manipulating tracked information associated with content distributed to users and/or computers, such as static objects, media objects, and/or software objects, for example. The content can be distributed as widget instances and the associated tracked information can be received over a network. The information received can be associated with a session corresponding to each widget instance and/or with multiple identifiers, such as widget, user, content, session, content aggregation point, processor, and/or placement identifiers, for example. Data handling processes, including sorting, storing, filtering, combining, queuing, and/or authenticating, for example, can be performed during the data handling stages. The processed information can be used to determine modifications to a behavior associated with widgets and/or widget containers.09-11-2008

20120016959PAGE VIEWS FOR PROXY SERVERS - Distinctions between resources explicitly selected by a user and resources indirectly selected may be enabled by identifying an explicitly selected web page or other resource as such in the request for the web page or other resource, which may allow the web page or resource to be differentiated from web pages or other resources that are requested as a consequence of their indirect selection. Moreover, a log of web pages or other resources explicitly selected by a user may be maintained at the client and later reference by a local processor or communicated to a host process seeking to differentiate directly and indirectly selected web pages or other resources. These techniques also may allow a proxy or other server to perform processing related to parentally controlled accounts or related to accurately tracking frequently requested resources such as web pages.01-19-2012

20110306962Method and Device for Treatment of Conditions Aggravated by Amyloid Fibrils - A method and device for treating a condition aggravated by the presence of amyloid fibrils is disclosed. The method includes applying a plurality of ultra-short pulses to target tissue comprising amyloid fibrils. The plurality of ultra-short pulses produce an electric field in the target tissue sufficient to change a molecular structure of the amyloid fibrils without causing the death, destruction, or serious injury of healthy cells surrounding the target tissue. For example, the plurality of ultra-short pulses can be sufficient to change the molecular structure of amyloid fibrils without causing apoptosis or necrosis of surrounding cells. The ultra-short pulses can be applied using an electrode device or a wideband antenna. The ultra-short pulses can have a duration ranging from 1 ps to 10 ns, an amplitude ranging from 100 V to 1 MV, and can apply an electrical field to the target tissue ranging from 1 kV/cm to 1 MV/cm.12-15-2011
