20090093235SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROTECTING DATA IN WIRELESS DEVICES - When a network-based wireless device such as a mobile phone or data terminal is reported lost or stolen or is determined to be malfunctioning, a service provider can immediately deny the device access to the network. However, any management operation to secure data carried by the wireless device cannot be carried out as the device is no longer reachable from the network. Therefore, the data should be secured before the device is rendered inoperable. Apparatus and methods are provided to back-up the data or wipe the data before the system denies access to the device. A system and method are provided by which a security manager works in conjunction with an equipment register of the network to lock and wipe data on the wireless device before the device is denied access to the network. Similarly, for a wireless device that is later recovered or determined to be operable, the device can be granted access to the network again and any data that was locked or wiped can be unlocked or restored over the network.04-09-2009

20080244343STRUCTURAL TESTING USING BOUNDARY SCAN TECHNIQUES - A boundary scan technique to generate toggling waveform such as a square wave signal to perform structural testing is disclosed. An instr_extesttoggle command is provided that enables IEEE 1149.1 boundary scan cell to selectively generate the toggling signal on the pre-specified output pads of the integrated circuit. The frequency of the toggling signal may be controlled by the JTAG clock signal and the frequency of the toggling signal may be independent of the length of the boundary scan chain. Such an approach circumvents provisioning test points on the interconnects of a printed circuit board.10-02-2008
20090004891TEST ACCESS FOR HIGH DENSITY INTERCONNECT BOARDS - A novel HDI board that enables test probe access comprises a stack of insulating layers having a first surface and a second surface, wherein the first surface includes at least two devices and the second surface includes a test probe accessible solder bead. The two devices are electrically coupled by at least one metal interconnect formed within the plurality of insulating layers. The HDI board also includes a backside μVia electrically coupling the solder bead to the metal interconnect. Testing of the device may be carried out by way of the solder bead and the backside μVia.01-01-2009
