| 20080314039 | Hydraulic hybrid vehicle with integrated hydraulic drive module and four-wheel-drive, and method of operation thereof - A vehicle includes an integrated drive module coupled to an axle thereof. The module includes a hydraulic motor configured to provide motive power at an output shaft, and a differential for distributing the motive power to right and left portions of the axle. The hydraulic motor and the differential are encased within a common housing. The vehicle may include a second integrated drive module having, within a housing, a second hydraulic motor (or multiple hydraulic motors), and a second differential coupled thereto and configured to distribute motive power to right and left portions of a second axle. The second module may also include a transmission within the same housing. The transmission may be a two speed or other multi-speed transmission. The second module is configured to operate in neutral while power demand is below a threshold, and to engage while the power demand exceeds the threshold. The second module may be configured to remain engaged for full-time four-wheel-drive operation. | 12-25-2008 |

| 20090248163 | SPINAL SURGERY INTERBODY - An inter-vertebral implant wherein at least one of the side walls defining a hole from the exterior of the implant to the fusion promotion cavity and having a posterior portion and an anterior portion, the side wall hole being elongated in a direction between the posterior and anterior ends of the side wall hole. In some embodiments, the side wall hole is tapered toward the posterior portion of the implant and can be tear drop shaped. In some embodiments the cephalad and caudal surfaces may be convex with radii of curvature which can be the same for all implant sizes. The surfaces may include teeth which can extend beyond a central cavity. A nose, tapered in the saggital and transverse planes may be included on the anterior end of the implant. Some embodiments also include a threaded hole (with a depth that can be the same for all implant sizes) and an adjoining slot for engaging an insertion instrument. Each of the portions of the implant can have the same length for all implant sizes. | 10-01-2009 |
| 20100160968 | SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PEDICLE SCREW-BASED SPINE STABILIZATION USING FLEXIBLE BANDS - Embodiments of the disclosure provide a spinal stabilization rod useful for connecting a set of bone fasteners that can anchor a spinal stabilization system onto vertebral bodies. The spinal stabilization rod comprises rigid sections for coupling with bone fastener assemblies engaged in vertebrae and a flexible band for coupling the rigid sections. A bumper may be disposed around the rod to encase the flexible band. The spinal stabilization system may include a dampener. | 06-24-2010 |
