20080298270Upstream Signal Quality Monitoring - The problem is that a measurement of the average signal quality (average modulation error ratio), does not identify poor quality signals that may be originating from an individual cable modem. The device of the present invention displays the modulation error ratio (MER) for each packet received. Since the media access control (MAC) address is associated with a packet received from an individual cable modem, a graph displaying the MER for each packet received is also displaying the MER for signals from the individual cable modems. Thus a technician viewing the display will be able to identify whether a low MER is a result of an impairment in the network or the from an individual cable modem.12-04-2008

20100025974Apparatus for allowing or suppressing deployment of a low risk deployment airbag - A low-cost automatic suppression apparatus allows or suppresses deployment of a low risk deployment airbag based solely on occupant seat load and seat belt tension. The seat load and belt tension parameters are detected by low-cost sensors, and an airbag control unit suppresses airbag deployment when the occupant load is below a specified load threshold or the belt tension is above a specified tension threshold, and otherwise allows airbag deployment. The sensors are preferably switch-based so that the signals provided to the airbag control unit are in the form of a differential electrical current, and only two wires are needed to interface each sensor to the airbag control unit.02-04-2010
20110163765CAPACITIVE OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM HAVING WET SEAT COMPENSATION AND METHOD - An occupant detection system and method are provided. The system includes a capacitive sensor having an electrode arranged in a seat proximate to an expected location of an occupant for sensing an occupant presence approximate thereto. The capacitive sensor is configured to provide an output indicative of the sensed occupant presence. Occupant detection circuitry is included for processing the capacitive sensor output and determining a wet seat condition and generating a wet seat fault based on a determined wet seat condition. The occupant detection circuitry further detects a state of occupancy of the seat based on the capacitive sensor output and the wet seat fault.07-07-2011
20110163767OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD - An occupant detection system and method are provided. The system includes a capacitive sensor having an electrode arranged in a seat proximate to an expected location of an occupant for sensing an occupant presence approximate thereto. The capacitive sensor is configured to provide an output indicative of the sensed occupant presence. The system also includes a force sensor arranged within the seat providing an output indicative of a sensed force applied to the seat. The system further includes occupant detection circuitry for processing the capacitive sensor output and force sensor output and detecting a state of occupancy of the seat based on the capacitive sensor output and the force sensor output.07-07-2011
20110163878CAPACITIVE OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM HAVING AGING COMPENSATION AND METHOD - An occupant detection system and method are provided. The system includes a capacitive sensor having an electrode arranged in a seat proximate to an expected location of an occupant for sensing an occupant presence approximate thereto. The capacitive sensor is configured to provide an output indicative of the sensed occupant presence. Occupant detection circuitry processes the sensor output and determines an aging compensation value to compensate for aging characteristics of the seat. The occupant detection circuitry detects a state of occupancy based on the sensor output and the aging compensation value.07-07-2011

20100269327Multi-Zone Machine Tool System - The present disclosure includes a machine tool system having multiple zones. The zones may be areas divided by physical barriers or virtual zones. The zones may include a first zone having a first kinematics arrangement and a second zone having a second kinematics arrangement. The first zone and the second zone may share one or more machine axis and at least one of the first zone and the second zone has at least one non-shared machine axis. The present disclosure also includes multi-interface machine tool systems.10-28-2010
20100274380Virtual Machine Manager - Systems and methods for virtual machine management are disclosed. A virtual machine manager may communicate with a storehouse, which may include one or more virtual machines. The virtual machine manager may select one or more virtual machines, or may create one or more virtual machines, depending on the requirements of an input.10-28-2010
20100274381Universal Conversational Programming for Machine Tool Systems - A method is disclosed for controlling movement of machine tool systems by providing a conversational programming interface that permits a user to create a universal program for execution by various machine tool systems for machining a part, each system having at least four movable axes. The user defines program blocks including geometry definitions which are independent of any axis kinematics configuration. A first tool path relative to a first Cartesian coordinate system is generated for forming the geometry, then mapped to a second Cartesian coordinate system corresponding to the part. The mapped path is transformed to a third Cartesian coordinate system corresponding to an orientation and location of the part relative to an axis kinematics configuration of a current machine tool system. The transformed path is processed to generate positions for the movable axes of the current system.10-28-2010
20110077762METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REDUCING TOOL CHANGE OPERATIONS - A method and system are provided which reorders a sequence of operations of a part program to reduce the number of tool changes during execution of the program. The reordered sequence maintains a sequence of at least a first portion of the operations.03-31-2011
20110087364MACHINE TOOL SYSTEM CONTROL HAVING AUTOMATIC SAFE REPOSITIONING - The present disclosure includes a motion control system for a machine tool system configured to shape a part with a tool, including an I/O module with machine configuration information that defines limits of a three-dimensional working space of the machine tool system. The I/O module further includes a part program that specifies first and second positions of the tool without reference to the working space limits. The motion control system further includes a software controller configured to internally process moves to determine whether the tool can be repositioned from the first position to the second position while maintaining the tool above a minimum clearance from the part and within the working space limits, output the internally processed moves to the machine tool system to cause movement of the tool if the tool can be safely repositioned, and output an error if the tool cannot be safely repositioned.04-14-2011

20120104034PRODUCT DISPENSING DEVICE - A system, device and method for dispensing a product includes a delivery system that includes at least one auger with internal flighting that is either integral with or attached to an internal wall of a barrel portion of the auger. The auger rotates and the spiral flighting within the auger transmits a product from a bulk loading station to a product dispensation area. Thus, products can be bulk loaded into a device rather than having to be loaded one-by-one into a dispensing device. The spiral flighting reduces pinch points associated with conventional auger systems.05-03-2012

20100242847Anchored pet feeder/waterer - A pet food bowl anchoring apparatus including a bowl having a horizontal bottom surface and a vertical wall attached to a peripheral edge of the bottom surface. The wall extending above the bottom surface forms a dish and the wall extending below the bottom surface forms a support wall portion holding the bottom surface above a floor surface onto which the bowl is resting. The support wall portion has is formed or machined to include a slot into which a user's fingers may be placed for picking the bowl up from the floor surface. A keeper connected loosely at a first end to a bottom surface of the bowl protrudes generally horizontally out of the slot exterior to the support wall portion. The keeper has formed therein two apertures, a first aperture in a central area of the keeper wherein a fastener loosely connects the keeper to the bowl, and a second aperture formed in a central area of the portion of the keeper protruding out from the support wall portion. A spring captured between the keeper and the bowl and surrounding the fastener biases the keeper away from the bowl. A vertical pin rigidly secures the keeper to the floor surface. The pin has the second aperture of the keeper pushed thereon so that a portion of an edge of the aperture achieves a friction fit against the pin, and wherein the protruding portion of the keeper may be raised, thus releasing the friction fit.09-30-2010
