20110000468DEVICE FOR FEEDING FUEL - Devices for feeding fuel are already known which have a storage pot which can be filled by a suction jet pump. The storage pot has a pot base with an intake opening which opens into an intake chamber of the suction jet pump and through which the suction jet pump sucks in fuel. The intake chamber is fluidically connected to the storage pot via a mixer duct. A non-return valve is provided in the intake opening in order to prevent fuel from back-flowing. Considerable flow turbulence occurs within the suction jet pump, which flow turbulence can lead, in particular in the case of heated fuel, referred to as hot petrol, to the formation of gas bubbles. The delivery capacity of the suction jet pump is considerably reduced by the gas bubbles, with the result that under certain operating conditions the storage pot is not sufficiently filled and can run empty. In the device according to the invention, the flow turbulence is reduced. The invention provides that an oblique ramp for guiding the flow with little turbulence is provided at the junction with the mixer duct on the pot base of the storage pot inside the intake chamber.01-06-2011

20110317677METHOD FOR MANAGING MOBILITY OF A MOBILE DEVICE WITHIN A NETWORK USING A PROXY MIPV6 PROTOCOL - Method for managing mobility of a mobile device (MS) within a network using a proxy MIPv6 protocol comprising MAG and LMA logical functions, wherein MAG issues a PBU to bind the mobile device (MS) with the LMA, a LMA-time being initialized and maintained within the LMA and the method comprising a relative time synchronization procedure between LMA and all of the MAG connected to it, said procedure providing that each MAG sends a PBU with specific semantics to request the LMA-time, the PBU acknowledgement (PBU-Ack) sent by the LMA including such LMA-time, said LMA-time being further maintained within each MAG, the method further comprising a binding procedure in which all of the MAG insert in each PBU sent a timestamp including the current maintained LMA-time. Upon receipt of a LMA-timestamped PBU from a MAG, the LMA sends a successful PBU-Ack if no other MAG currently binds the mobile device (MS) with the LMA or if the timestamp is newer than the one received from the MAG currently binding the mobile device (MS); an out of date PBU-Ack if the timestamp is not newer than the one received from the MAG currently binding the mobile device (MS).12-29-2011

20090173146Temperature programmed low thermal mass fast liquid chromatography analysis system - A temperature programmed low thermal mass fast liquid chromatography system capable of high throughput and low power consumption includes a straight or curved short reloadable low-mass tubular heater with a capillary column extending inside. If the capillary column is long enough, it is coiled to form a coiled capillary LC column (the length of which does not exceed 0.2 m-1.0 m) packed in a singular module package with a heating wire and a temperature sensing wire extending along and in proximity to the LC capillary column. A tubular heater, e.g. a steel tubing, incorporates the LC capillary column, along with the heating wire and the temperatures sensor and is coiled to form a miniature power saving LC module which may be attached outside a chromatography oven. Capillary lengths extend inside the oven between the inlet and outlet of the LC column module and mobile phase source and detector, respectively. An electronic temperature control block is positioned outside the oven cavity and controls the heating of the capillary LC column, as well as other heated zones in the system.07-09-2009

20100217563MODELING A RESERVOIR USING A COMPARTMENT MODEL AND A GEOMECHANICAL MODEL - An efficient and cost-effective technique is provided to perform modeling of a reservoir in a subterranean structure. A compartment model of fluid compartments in a reservoir is generated, and based on the compartment model and a geomechanical model of the subterranean structure, movement of a ground surface due to volumetric change of the compartments is calculated. Satellite measurements of the ground surface are received over time, where the received satellite measurements of the ground surface over time indicate movement of the ground surface. The movement of the ground surface indicated by the received satellite measurements is compared with the calculated movement, and based on the comparing, one or more properties of the geomechanical model are adjusted.08-26-2010

20100205210SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HIERARCHICAL INFORMATION RETRIEVAL FROM A CODED COLLECTION OF RELATIONAL DATA - A system for information retrieval from a collection of hypermedia data over a distributed network is presented. The system includes a data storage system that is a collection of hypermedia data. The collection of hypermedia data also has a number of hyperlinks to items of hypermedia content, and the hyperlinks are each respectively associated with at least one code value generated based on the content of the respective hypermedia content. The system also includes an application that receives progressive user input and iteratively build a user search code value according to the user input. It matches the user search code value to at least a portion of the hypermedia content code value for the hyperlinks in the data storage to identify each such associated hyperlink to a particular information retrieval data set.08-12-2010
20110055188CONSTRUCTION OF BOOLEAN SEARCH STRINGS FOR SEMANTIC SEARCH - A system for information retrieval accessing any number of search engines over a distributed network or local network is presented. The system includes one or more pre-built ontologies or lexicons, representing areas of knowledge. The system includes a settings panel where searchers can preset default languages, default ontologies, and target search engines. The system includes an application that receives a variety of searcher input from a user interface such as a spinning wheel, or from a scrolling list. Through such selections, the application subsequently builds a Boolean search engine string of terms. The Boolean search string is then passed to the target search engine for retrieving semantically accurate search results. The Boolean search string provides a tight range on the search parameters and thereby delivers higher quality results that are more precise.03-03-2011
