20090127019HYDRAULIC DAMPER - The present invention provides a damping system for use with a mechanism such as a steering system wherein one element moves relative to another element. The system includes a variable volume chamber, a collection chamber, and an inertia track providing fluid communication between the two chambers. A fluid is disposed in the chambers and the inertia track. A compliant tuning member is in fluid communication with the variable volume chamber. The damping system is capable of attenuating vibration at chosen frequencies without adding undesired damping at other frequencies. In the preferred embodiment, the damping system is used to attenuate steering wheel torsional vibration without increasing low frequency damping that would deteriorate steering feel.05-21-2009

20090283197Magnetically attractable fastening device - The present invention provides a magnetically attractable fastening device. The device comprises magnetically attractable ends joined together by a flexible bridge. The magnetically attractable ends each comprise at least one magnetically attractable element. At least one of the elements is a permanent magnet. The magnetically attractable elements are positioned in the ends of the device to provide a differential magnetic field at each end. The magnetically responsive elements are encapsulated in a non-magnetic material. The bridge that joins the ends of the device also comprise a non-magnetic material.11-19-2009
20100110544Magnetically repositionable reflective safety devices - The present invention provides a magnetically repositionable reflective device for enhancing the visibility of objects, persons and pets, especially in low light environments. The device comprises a magnetically responsive element within a reflective sheath.05-06-2010
20100307680BENZOXAZINE-THIOL ADDUCTS - Novel benzoxazine-thiol adducts are described, which may be may be cured to produce compositions useful in coating, sealants, adhesive and many other applications.12-09-2010
20110024039ONE-PART EPOXY-BASED STRUCTURAL ADHESIVE - A one-part epoxy structural adhesive comprising an epoxy resin, a toughening agent, a reactive liquid modifier present in an amount ranging from about 5% to about 15% by weight structural adhesive, and a latent amine curing agent. The structural adhesive may optionally include reactive diluents, synthetic mineral fibers, fillers, pigments and combinations th The structural adhesive may be used to form bonded joints between metal parts having clean surfaces, as well as those having surfaces contaminated with hydrocarbon-containing materials, such as oils, processing aids and lubricating agents.02-03-2011
20110054100POLYBENZOXAZINE COMPOSITION - A curable composition comprising a benzoxazine compound and a pentafluoroantimonic acid catalyst is described. The curable composition may be cured to produce cured compositions useful in coating, sealants, adhesive and many other applications.03-03-2011
20110120646TWO-PART EPOXY-BASED STRUCTURAL ADHESIVES - A two-part structural adhesive composition comprising a curable epoxy resin, an amine curing agent, a toughening agent, and a reactive liquid modifier. The structural adhesive may also include secondary curatives, initiators, reactive diluents and combinations thereof. The structural adhesives may be used to replace or augment conventional joining means such as welds or mechanical fasteners in bonding parts together.05-26-2011
20110130518REACTIVE LIQUID MODIFIERS - Epoxy reactive liquid modifiers include acrylate functionalized compounds, acrylamide functionalized compounds, oxalic amide functionalized compounds, actoacetoxy functionalized urethanes and acetoacetoxy functionalized polyalkenes. The reactive liquid modifiers are incorporated into epoxy resin compositions comprising a curable epoxy resin, an amine curing agent, and the reactive liquid modifier, wherein the reactive liquid modifier is polymerized to form at least one of an interpenetrating polymer network and a semi-interpenetrating polymer network with the curable epoxy resin.06-02-2011
