20090130277Coffee roasting machine and system and method of use - A coffee roasting machine for roasting coffee, particularly in small batch sizes for sale and distribution to individual customers. The coffee roaster is suitable for placement entirely within a retail sales outlet or establishment and for being operated by any person, such as, an employee, customer, or patron who has little or no knowledge, skill, or experience in roasting coffee beans. The coffee-roasting machine selects an appropriate coffee roasting instruction set, stored internally, that corresponding to information input into the coffee-roasting machine for roasting a particular type of coffee bean or coffee bean blend to a desired roast level. The information is integrally included on a package of coffee beans for roasting and is directly readable by the machine or manually inputtable by an operator.05-21-2009

20110248823ASSET IDENTIFICATION AND TRACKING SYSTEM AND METHOD - An asset identification and tracking system includes a plurality of antennas each constructed and arranged to be mounted to one of a plurality of rack positions within an equipment rack, a receiver coupled to each of the antennas, and an antenna selector coupled to each of the antennas for selectively enabling communication between one of the antennas and the receiver. The system may further include a controller coupled to the receiver and to the antenna selector. The system may further include a data center manager coupled to the controller for identifying and tracking an asset. Each of the plurality of antennas may be configured to receive a signal emitted by a RFID tag attached to an asset mounted within the equipment rack. The receiver may include an RFID reader.10-13-2011

20110076728TARGET AMPLIFICATION AND SEQUENCING WITH PRIMERS COMPRISING TRIPLEX FORMING MONOMER UNITS - The current inventors have discovered that the incorporation of a triplex forming monomer unit into oligonucleotides surprisingly gives the oligonucleotide a number of favorable characteristics. The oligonucleotides are advantageous because they allow modulation of the melting temperature of an oligonucleotide, they have improved sequence specificity and they can form triplexes by Hoogsteen or reverse Hoogsteen base pairing with double stranded nucleic acids. Moreover, some of the oligonucleotides of the invention have useful fluorescent characteristics, and the oligonucleotides comprising a triplex forming monomer can be used as substrates for enzymatic manipulations such as primer extension.03-31-2011

20110150177CT SCANNING SYSTEM - The present invention provides a CT scanning system having a patient table and a gantry comprising an x-ray source configured to irradiate an x-ray beam while at least partly rotating about an object being arranged on the patient table in order to be scanned. The gantry further comprises an x-ray detector configured to receive x-rays penetrating through the object to be scanned and further configured to provide output signals representative of the received x-rays. The CT scanning system further comprises an x-ray cabinet comprising x-ray shielding material. It is preferred that the x-ray cabinet is fully surrounding the gantry. The x-ray cabinet may at least partly surround the patient table. However, it is preferred that the x-ray cabinet is fully surrounding the patient table. Thus, the patient table may be configured to be fully inserted in the x-ray cabinet, whereby the x-ray cabinet is fully surrounding the patient table. The x-ray cabinet may have an end part with a patient opening allowing the introduction of a patient into the x-ray cabinet through said opening, and the CT scanning system may further comprise a closure part or door for providing an x-ray shielding closure of the patient opening at the first end part. The x-ray cabinet may be formed by at least two parts.06-23-2011
