INTEGRATED VEHICLE TURN SIGNAL SYSTEM AND APPARATUS - The present provides a system which integrates motor vehicle turn signal operation into actuators located in the rim of a motor vehicle steering wheel. The actuators of the system of the present invention, one for controlling the right-hand turn signal and one for controlling the left-hand turn signal, are located in an arc segment of the steering wheel defined by the three o'clock and 12 o'clock positions for the right-hand actuator and the nine o'clock and 12 o'clock positions for the left-hand actuator. The actuators may operate in parallel with a conventional stalk switch and only turn on the respective turn signal lights when activated and subsequently depressed. The turn signal lights turn off when the actuators are released. The integrated turn signal system of the present invention further provides for turn signal operation which does not require a driver to remove his or her hands from the steering wheel. | 03-10-2011

Systems and Methods for Sensitive Data Remediation - Systems and methods for sensitive data remediation include calculating a Probability of Loss of data on a given computer based on measures of control, integrity, and potential avenues of exploitation of the given computer, determining an Impact of Loss of the data on the given computer based on a type, volume, and nature of the data, and correlating the Probability of Loss with the Impact of Loss to generate a risk score for the given computer that can be compared to other computers in the network. The computers with higher risk scores can then be subjected to data remediation activity. | 11-04-2010

BISPHOSPHONATES FOR TREATING ENDOMETRIOSIS - A novel method of treating endometriosis is disclosed. The method comprises administering to a female subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of particles comprising an agent capable of inhibiting phagocytic cells of the female subject. | 09-24-2009
Compositions and Methods Using Same for Delivering Agents Into a Target Organ Protected by a Blood Barrier - A method of delivering a pharmaceutical agent into a target organ protected by a blood barrier is provided. The method comprising administering to a subject in need thereof an amount of liposomes which comprise the pharmaceutical agent, the amount and the liposomes are selected such that the liposomes accumulate in cells of an immune system of the subject to thereby generate liposome loaded immune cells, the liposome loaded immune cells become activated and cross the blood barrier, and an effective amount of the pharmaceutical agent is released from the liposomes in the target organ of the subject. | 01-21-2010
PH SENSITIVE BIODEGRADABLE POLYMERIC PARTICLES FOR DRUG DELIVERY - The present invention generally relates to polymers and particles, such as nanoparticles. The particles and polymers generally include one or more buffering components. Additionally, the particles and polymers may include two or more components that impart useful properties (functionalities). The particles and polymers, for example, may include a buffering component and a degradable component. As described herein, the particles and polymers may also include a hydrophilic component and/or a cleavable bond component. The particles and polymers described herein have been found to be particularly effective when used for delivery of one or more agents, such as one or more pharmaceutical agents. Other aspects of the invention are directed to methods of using or administering such particles or polymers, kits involving such particles or polymers, and the like. The present invention also relates to particles containing a cleavable bond component and one or more fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) pairs as well as methods of detecting the cleavage of the cleavable bond component of such particles. | 03-17-2011

Method For Porous Ceramic Honeycomb Shrinkage Reduction - A method for reducing shrinkage variability of ceramic honeycombs formed from batch mixtures including inorganic materials and a pore former. X is a cumulative amount of pore former particles having a diameter less than 37 μm. There is a maximum value of X (Xmax) and a minimum value of X (Xmin) during a production period, and ΔX=Xmax−Xmin. The method fixes an amount of pore former fines such that X ranges from 25%-71% by volume, and ΔX is ≦23% throughout the production period. | 03-04-2010

HOSTING PLATFORM - A hosting platform provides website hosting for customers. The hosting platform may be operated in a cloud hosting environment and may comprise an application signup and billing module, a content management system, a transaction module, and optionally a messaging system and/or end-customer management and authentication module. To enable website hosting in different industries, the content management system can provide access to modules adapted for a particular industry, such as print, music, or the like. The modules adapted for a particular industry allow customers in the particular industry to engage in the online sale of products or services with an order flow that can be adapted for the particular industry. Alternately or additionally, a consumer portal can be provided for each industry allowing end-users, e.g., end-customers, of a particular industry to connect peer-to-peer in relation to customers of the hosting platform that provide products or services within the particular industry. | 03-25-2010
