20100184643Methods and Compounds Regulating the Erythroid Response to Iron Deficiency - The present invention discloses the signaling pathway involved in erythroid repression by iron deficiency. Further disclosed is a non-toxic small-molecule compound which potently reverses the erythroid repression caused by iron deficiency. The present invention further encompasses novel compounds for inhibition of red cell production, useful, for example, in the treatment of polycythemia vera, a malignancy causing uncontrolled red cell production. These inhibitory compounds also promote megakary-ocytic lineage commitment and may therefore be useful for augmentation of platelet production. The present invention further discloses isocitrate reversal of iron deprivation.07-22-2010

20110064230Phase layering apparatus and method for a complete audio signal - The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for redeeming otherwise closed and concealed information contained in audio signals. This includes both the primary reference signal, and a plurality of redundant duplicate signals, substantially identical in all respects to the primary reference signal except in relation to magnitude and phase, for the purpose of unfolding, or opening the audio signal content into layers that result in an omni-directional acoustic signal, representing the sound as it would behave in nature. The audio reproduction system uses an in-phase circuit and a separate phase layering technique circuit to drive independent multiple mixed channels, to produce an open, substantially complete sound from a discrete audio signal, for the purpose of enabling a substantially complete audio signal to be formed, or to transform existing incomplete audio signals into a substantially complete audio signal.03-17-2011
20110158413APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR A COMPLETE AUDIO SIGNAL - The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for redeeming otherwise closed and concealed information contained in audio signals. An active circuit balances the ratio between in-phase and out-of-phase signals through the application of sum and difference signals and adjusts the ratio of gain in stereophonic signals as well as in monophonic and multichannel signal applications. This includes both the primary reference signal, and a plurality of redundant duplicate signals, substantially identical in all respects to the primary reference signal except in relation to magnitude and phase, for the purpose of unfolding, or opening the audio signal content. A pair of output signal levels approximates the golden ratio where the golden ratio is one plus the square root of five divided by two which gives an irrational number 1.618.06-30-2011

The optical circuit may include a delay line interferometer that supplies a further optical signal that is sensed by a photodetector circuit. Alternatively, a 90 degree optical hybrid may be provided which receives two inputs whereby one input is delayed relative to the other input. The outputs of the optical hybrid are also supplied to a photodetector circuit. An electrical signal output from the photodetector circuit is indicative of changes in phase of the light output from the laser. A processor circuit may be configured to process the electrical signal to determine an accumulated phase of the laser light based on the electrical signal. Alternatively, based on the electrical signal, phase offset values may be obtained to offset or compensate local oscillator phase noise. In another example, the laser may be provided in an optical transmitter, and the electrical signal may be used to correct for undesired phase changes in a modulated optical signal. Further, the electrical signal may be provided to measure the phase noise for diagnostic or monitoring purposes.12-15-2011

20100237941WIDEBAND RF AMPLIFIERS - A device for amplifying signals over a wide frequency range features stacked amplifying modules connected between a DC voltage source and an electrical ground. The stacking configuration reuses the DC current produced the voltage source, and thus reduces the amount of operational DC current permitting the use of lower voltage, higher frequency devices to be used. The amplifying modules are fed signals which are different versions of an input signal, and the output signals are AC coupled using capacitors to balance out gain imbalances and asymmetries between the amplifying modules.09-23-2010
20100301943High Voltage Amplification Using Low Breakdown Voltage Devices - Methods and apparatus for amplifying signals over a wide frequency range to generate high voltage outputs feature a pair of switching modules which are connected in series. Switching modules, e.g., field-effect transistors (FETs), operate based on the voltage difference between an amplified signal and a fixed DC signal at two of their terminals, thereby generating an output waveform that has peak-to-peak voltage higher than, e.g. twice, the breakdown voltage of the transistors within the amplifier. The DC signals applied at the switching modules may be varied using an AC signal to improve the risetime of the output waveform and achieve a faster operational speed of the amplifier.12-02-2010
