20090171528APPARATUS AND PROCESS FOR RECORDING DATA ASSOCIATED WITH A VEHICLE - The present system for recording vehicle-related data does not involve an elaborate installation procedure and thus may be routinely transferred from one vehicle to the next. The system has a recording module and at least on sensor module. The recording module has a wireless receiver, a processor, a vehicle interface assembly, and a data processor interface. The vehicle interface assembly enables the recording module to detachably connect to the vehicle. The sensor modules have a sensor, a processing subsystem, and a wireless transmitter. The wireless transmitter of a sensor module communicates with the wireless receiver of the recording module. Also disclosed is a method of recording vehicle related data.07-02-2009
20100125591MERGING FILES ON STORAGE AND RETRIEVE - A client designates and transfers a file to a server in distinct chunks. The number of data chunks equals the number of communication sessions that are required to complete the transfer of the designated file to the server, that number being dependent on the number of times the communication session between the client and the server is interrupted. If the designated file includes several concatenated client files, each chunk of the designated file may include one or more such client files. Each chunk of the designated file may include some part of a client file and one or more whole client files. The byte-wise size or length of a chunk depends on the duration of the related communication session: the longer a communication session, the larger the related chunk. By transferring the designated file to the server as distinctly recognizable chunks, the need to retransmit large files to the server is avoided.05-20-2010

20090076260HYDROGENATION PROCESS - The invention relates to an improved process for the production of a sugar alcohol from the corresponding sugar through catalytic hydrogenation. Especially, the invention relates to a process for reducing the interference of sugar-derived aldonic acids in the hydrogenation process by adjusting the hydrogenation conditions so that the activity of the catalyst is maintained. In one embodiment of the invention, the process of the invention is carried out by adjusting the hydrogenation temperature by starting the hydrogenation at a lower temperature and then gradually rising the temperature to the final hydrogenation temperature. In another embodiment of the invention, the process of the invention is carried out by adding small-molecular monocarboxylic acids to the hydrogenation solution.03-19-2009

20110167088EFFICIENT IMMUTABLE SYNTAX REPRESENTATION WITH INCREMENTAL CHANGE - Efficient immutable syntax representation with parent pointers under incremental change is enabled by creating a data structure comprising at least one tree structure that allows both upward and downward references in the tree and a tree structure that is immutable (read-only), and allows parts of itself to be re-used in other data structures. The data structure described enables tools to search and target particular sub trees. The fragment of the tree representing the targeted sub tree is produced as it is used. The rest of the tree is not produced. The read-only tree retains relative information, allowing it to be reassembled and shared.07-07-2011
