20100054827FUSER WITH END CAPS HAVING PROTUBERANCES FOR REDUCING BELT SKEW - A fuser has a heater housing extending through an endless belt with end caps on the housing adjacent to opposite lateral sides of the belt. The end caps have inner flanges spaced radially outward from a center portion and radially inward from the opposite marginal side edge portions of the belt so as to define clearance therebetween. Protuberances on the inner flanges of the end caps project toward opposite marginal edge portions of the belt and are circumferentially spaced apart to reduce belt skew relative to the end caps by either decreasing the surface area of contact of the inner flanges with the opposite marginal side edge portions of the belt to reduced surface areas of contact of protuberances therewith or decreasing the radial height of the clearance between the inner flanges and opposite side edge portions of the belt to the reduced radial height between the latter and the protuberances.03-04-2010

20120092272Haptic Based User Interface for an Electronic Device - An electronics device including a haptic-based user interface, including a touch screen; an actuator coupled to the touch screen for selectively vibrating the touch screen responsive to the touch screen being depressed; and a visual display panel. The user interface further includes a plurality of suspension members disposed between the touch screen and the display panel and a plurality of seal members disposed between the suspension members such that the suspension members and the seal members define a volume between the touch panel and the visual display panel. The suspension and seal members may be formed from compressible material, such as foam materials. By separating the visual display panel from the touch panel with the suspension members in this way, vibrations from the actuator that are experienced by the visual display panel are reduced, thereby extending the useful life of the visual display panel.04-19-2012

20100254409System and Method for Optimizing Network Bandwidth Usage - A method of optimizing bandwidth usage in a link aggregated network includes identifying available bandwidth on a plurality of data links in a link aggregation group, selecting the data link with the least available bandwidth, and determining whether the available bandwidth of the selected data link is less than a guaranteed bandwidth of an incoming data flow. If the available bandwidth of the selected data link is less than the guaranteed bandwidth of the incoming data flow, the method includes selecting the data link with the next least available bandwidth and repeating the previous steps until the available bandwidth of the selected data link is greater than the guaranteed bandwidth of the incoming data flow. The method further includes assigning the data flow to the data link determined to have an available bandwidth greater than the guaranteed bandwidth of the incoming data flow.10-07-2010
20120069970SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF MASKING NON-SERVICE AFFECTING ALARMS IN A COMMUNICATION SYSTEM - According to one embodiment, a method may include detecting existence of an alarm-triggering event associated with a service at a maintenance level. The method may also include analyzing one or more parameters associated with carrier traffic for the service. The method may additionally include determining whether a data path for carrier traffic associated with the service is operational based on the analysis of the one or more parameters. The method may further include masking or downgrading an alarm triggered by the alarm-triggering event in response to a determination that the data path is operational.03-22-2012

20100132040Automated method and system for monitoring local area computer networks for unauthorized wireless access - According to an embodiment of the present invention, the wireless activity in a geographic area containing LAN connection ports is monitored using one or more sensor devices, called sniffers. By analyzing said wireless activity, one or more APs that are operating in said geographic area are identified. The active APs so identified are classified into three categories, namely “authorized” APs (those that are allowed by network administrator), “unauthorized” APs (those that are not allowed by the network administrator, but are still connected to the LAN of interest) and “external” APs (those that are not allowed by network administrator but are not connected to the LAN of interest, for example APs connected to the neighbor's LAN) by conducting one or more tests. The sniffers continue to monitor the selected geographic area to detect any wireless station attempting to connect to or communicating with the one or more identified unauthorized APs. Upon identifying unauthorized AP and/or intruding wireless station an indication is transferred to the prevention process.05-27-2010

20100224485TRAPEZOIDAL WALL ELECTROLYSIS CELL WITH ADDED ELECTRIC FIELDS AND THERMAL ENERGY - Water electrolysis is a known process to produce hydrogen and oxygen from water. The electrolysis efficiency depends on the voltage needed to pass the desired current for desired time through the electrolysis cell to achieve the desired electro-chemical reactions. Motivation of present invention is to increase the electrical efficiency of electrolysis by reducing energy losses in the cell. This invention reduces energy losses by increasing ion density of the desired ions near to the respective reducing and oxidizing electrodes, which is accomplished in a hollow polyhedron, pyramid like, electrolysis cell by collecting ions from larger volume of the electrolyte solution with controlled electric fields, guided convection currents of the electrolyte solution with low grade thermal energy feed and steering the gathered ions close to the respective electrodes situated near to the top in the electrolysis cell.09-09-2010
