20100075802COLD START EMISSION REDUCTION STRATEGY FOR COORDINATED TORQUE CONTROL SYSTEMS - A cold-start control system for an internal combustion engine includes a heat estimation module, a torque request module and a propulsion torque determination module. The heat estimation module determines an exhaust system temperature and estimates heat required to heat an exhaust system to a predetermined temperature. The torque request module generates a torque request based on the estimated heat. The propulsion torque determination module determines a desired engine torque based on the torque request.03-25-2010
20110112982SOFTWARE INTERFACE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS - An interface control module includes a link generation module that generates a first link between a provider module and a consumer module. An interface contract module generates an interface contract. The interface contract corresponds to an interface of a product that includes the first link. The interface contract defines the interface based on a bill of materials (BOM). An interface assembly module assembles modules including the provider module and the consumer module to generate the product. An interface viewing module displays logical and physical views of the product on a display at least one of before and after assembly of the product.05-12-2011

20100162949Methods and Systems for Coating and Sealing Inside of Piping Systems - Methods and systems for cleaning, coating and sealing leaks in existing pipes, in a single operation. A piping system can be cleaned in one pass by dry particulates forced and pulled by air throughout the piping system by a generator and a vacuum. Pipes can be protected from water corrosion, erosion and electrolysis, extending the life of pipes such as copper, steel, lead, brass, cast iron piping and composite materials. Coatings can be applied to pipes having diameters up to approximately 6″. Leak sealants of at least approximately 4 mils thick can cover insides of pipes, and can include novel mixtures of fillers and epoxy materials, and viscosity levels. A positive pressure can be maintained within the pipes during applications. Piping systems can be returned to service within approximately 96 hours.07-01-2010

20100096384Portable Heating Apparatus for Heating Interior Piping Systems - Devices, apparatus, systems and methods of using a portable heating unit that does not use a separate compressor or blower or vacuum. The unit can be attached to an inlet of a piping system or section and be used to dry the interior walls of the piping system or section, and/or heat coatings passing through the piping system or section, etc. The portable heating unit includes a heater attached to an inlet end of a manifold, where the manifold can include alternative inlet end and two outlet ends. The inlet and outlet ends of the manifold can have quick connect fittings that allow similar fittings to be easily mateably attached thereto by rotating the fittings with one another. A quick connect/disconnect air pressure regulator with similar quick connect fitting can be attached to anyone of the inlet and outlet ends of the manifold. A quick connect/disconnect plug or plugs with similar quick connect fitting can close off any of the inlet and outlet ends of the manifold. The portable heating unit can be used with both a separate compressor and blower/filter having vacuum generator. The portable heating unit can also be used with only a compressor. The portable heating unit can also be used with only a vacuum generator.04-22-2010

20110048322Methods and Systems for Abrasive Cleaning and Barrier Coating/Sealing of Pipes - Methods and systems for abrasive cleaning, deburring pipes, providing barrier coatings and sealing leaks in existing pipes, in a single operation. A piping system can be cleaned in one pass set up by intermittent bursts of dry particulates that are forced and pulled by air throughout the piping system by a generator and a vacuum. Pipes can be protected from the effects of water corrosion, erosion corrosion and electrolysis, extending the life of piping systems such as copper, steel, lead, brass, cast iron piping and composite materials. Cleaning and barrier coating techniques described are efficient in pipes up to 2 inches in diameter, so that entire piping systems can be abrasive cleaned, coated and sealed. The leak sealant of at least approximately 4 mils thick can cover the cover insides of pipes. Piping systems can be returned to service within less than approximately 24 to 96 hours. The novel steps of cleaning out pipe systems can include generating pressurized gas into one end of a piping system having pipes, intermittently injecting bursts of abrasive particles into the pressurized gas into the end of the piping system, cleaning interior wall surfaces of the pipes with the intermittent bursts of the abrasive particles, reducing burrs, interior lips and excess seam joint edges in the interior wall surfaces of the pipes, and generating a vacuum suction at another end of the piping system to remove the abrasive particles and debris caused by the cleaning of the interior walls of the pipes.03-03-2011

20100047439Barrier coating corrosion control methods and systems for interior piping systems - Methods and systems for providing cleaning and providing barrier coatings to interior wall surfaces of small diameter metal and composite piping systems in buildings. An entire piping system can be cleaned in one single pass by dry particulates forced by air throughout the building piping system by an external generator, and the entire piping system can be coated in one single pass by a machine also connected exterior to the piping system. Small diameter pipes can be protected by the effects of water corrosion, erosion and electrolysis, extending the life of small diameter piping systems such as copper, steel, lead, brass, cast iron piping and piping systems made of composite materials. The invention meets the National Sanitation Foundation standard for products and services that come into contact with potable water, and the American Water Works Association. Coatings can be applied to pipes having diameters of approximately ⅜″ up to approximately 6″ so that entire piping systems such as potable water lines, natural gas lines, HVAC piping systems, drain lines, and fire sprinkler systems in buildings such as single-family homes to smaller walk-up style apartments to multi-floor concrete high-rise hotel/resort facilities and office towers, as well as high-rise apartment and condominium buildings and schools, can be cleaned and coated to pipes within existing walls. The barrier coating forms an approximately 4 mils or greater covering to the inside of pipes. Entire buildings can return to service within approximately 24 to approximately 96 hours depending on the size of the building piping system.02-25-2010
