20090025977REMOVABLE CABLE GLAND - A removable cable gland includes a two-piece fitting which may be laterally assembled over a cable, as opposed to a cable being fed through an opening in the fitting. A two-piece compression nut may also be laterally assembled over the cable. The two pieces of the compression nut are slid together along a longitudinal direction of the cable by a tongue and groove arrangement. The two pieces of the fitting are plugged together in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the cable. Once first threads of the fitting are engaged to second threads of the compression nut, the two-piece fitting is locked together by the surrounding compression nut. Simultaneously, the two-piece compression nut is locked together, such that the tongue may not slide longitudinally relative to the groove, due to the first and second thread engagement.01-29-2009
20090220204SPLICE REVOLVER, SPLICE MODULE AND METHOD OF ORGANIZING FIBER STRANDS IN THE SPLICE MODULE - A splice revolver is provided for securing a plurality of splices in a splice module. The revolver has a revolver body with a plurality of channels there through for receiving splice sleeves. The revolver body is configured to be rotated by a user so that splice sleeves may be loaded into empty channels of the splice revolver to provide compact storage of, and easy access to, splice sleeves.09-03-2009

20100108842BRACKET AND METHOD OF MOUNTING AN OBJECT IN A RACK USING SAME - A bracket includes a planar body portion having an edge and a surface, a flange extending generally perpendicularly from the edge, the flange including a plurality of mounting openings, and at least one finger projecting from the flange and along and spaced from the body portion surface. Also a method of using the bracket and an assembly including the bracket and a rack.05-06-2010
20100209064WEDGE-SHAPED FIBER RETAINER RING - A fiber retainer ring includes a bottom wall having a first end and a second end, a side wall projecting from the bottom wall first end and including a distal end, and a top wall connected to the bottom wall second end and forming a ramp inclined relative to the bottom wall. Also a method of installing a module in a shelf provided with such retainer rings.08-19-2010
20100209065OPTICAL FIBER MANAGEMENT SHELF INCLUDING DOOR WITH PUSH-PUSH FASTENER - An optical fiber management shelf includes a housing having a first opening and a fiber optic termination module mounted to the fiber management shelf. A first door is pivotably mounted on the housing and pivotable about an axis from a first position substantially covering the first opening to a second position allowing access to the first opening. A first projection is on the first door, and a first receiver is on the housing configured to receive and selectively retain the first projection to releasably secure the first door to the housing. The first receiver includes a latch configured to retain the first projection when the first projection is initially inserted or pushed into the first receiver. The first receiver is also configured to release the first projection when the first projection is subsequently pressed or pushed toward the first receiver after the initial insertion into the first receiver.08-19-2010
20100224578Methods of Converting Patching System To Intelligent Patching System and Related Shelf Units - A method of retrofitting an existing patching system with an intelligent patching module includes the steps of: providing at least one patching shelf unit populated with interconnection sites, the shelf unit including a rear face and an opposing front side; routing a cable between a rear location located rearward of the rear face and the front side; connecting the cable to the intelligent patching module; and attaching the intelligent patching module to the shelf unit.09-09-2010
20110038581SHUTTER FOR A FIBER OPTIC COMPONENT AND A FIBER OPTIC COMPONENT INCLUDING THE SHUTTER - A fiber optic component includes a body having at least one receptacle configured to receive a fiber optic connector, a shutter base mounted to the body at a mounting location adjacent to the at least one receptacle, and a first shutter connected to the shutter base by a first hinge. The first shutter, first hinge and shutter base are unitarily formed, and the first shutter is shiftable from a first position biased against the body and covering the at least one receptacle to a second position biased to an angularly spaced position relative to the first position.02-17-2011
20110038589FIBER MANAGEMENT COMPONENT - A fiber management device includes a first member having a floor, a first end, a second end and first and second sides, the first end including at least one holder for securing at least one optical fiber adapter to the first member, the second end including a frame holding a plurality of fiber optic connectors, the first side and second sides including first and second fiber guide structures. A first optical fiber connector is in the at least one holder, and includes a first plurality of optical fibers forming a first loop on the floor that contacts the first fiber guide structure and the second fiber guide structure. A second member includes a housing releasably connected to the first member and defining with the first member an enclosure for the first loop.02-17-2011
20110038590FIBER MANAGEMENT COMPONENT - A fiber management component includes a housing having an interior, a floor in the interior and a first wall having an aperture communicating with the interior. A platform is connected to the housing, which platform has a first portion with a bore that has a first end facing the aperture and a second portion forming a channel extending toward the bore. The channel is configured to releasably secure a spring push of a fiber optic connector to the platform and the bore is configured to slidably support a ferrule of a fiber optic connector.02-17-2011
