20090217299Communication Server With a Service Logic Execution Environment - A server of a communication network provides a service to a plurality of users. In the server, a service logic execution environment is stored. The service logic execution environment includes an event router and a service application, which service application includes at least a first component and a second component. The first component is provided with an event handler and the second component is provided with an action handler. The service logic execution environment further includes a flow descriptor which includes a relation between the event handler and the action handler. The event router is adapted to receive an event from the first component and to forward such an event to the second component according to the relation.08-27-2009

20090323778MULTIMODE RECEIVER ARCHITECTURE - A radio receiver comprising a compensator arranged to compensate for intersymbol interference in a signal received at the receiver and a configurator arranged to configure the compensator, wherein the compensator comprises a programmable filter and the configurator is capable of configuring the filter in a first mode to operate as an ISI equaliser or in a second mode to implement a RAKE finger set.12-31-2009
20100002814RECEIVER - A receiver for a telecommunications system, wherein the receiver is capable of using a plurality of available alternative receiver sub-systems and the receiver comprises selection means for selecting one of the plurality of receiver sub-systems for use in processing a received signal according to conditions of the propagation channel through which the received signal was received.01-07-2010
20100011271DEVICE AND METHOD OF DATA COMBINING - A device and method of combining a first version of an information block and a second version of the information block is disclosed. The method comprises calculating, prior to combining the first and second versions of the information block, a scaling factor to be applied in combining the first and second versions of the information block to produce a scaled combined information block.01-14-2010

20100149038Portable Millimeter-Wave Near Field Scanner - There is disclosed an apparatus to test an antenna. A transmitter generates a test signal radiated by the antenna under test. A near field scanner includes a field sampling probe to capture electromagnetic energy radiated by an antenna under test. An x-y positioning system including x and y positioning motors moves the field sampling probe over a measurement surface disposed proximate to the antenna under test. A quasi-optical beam transport system couples at least a portion of the captured electromagnetic energy from the field sampling probe to a scanner output port. A receiver is coupled to the scanner output port.06-17-2010

20080245560Combined environmental-electromagnetic rotary seal - A combined environmental and electromagnetic rotary seal. The invention is adapted for use between two mutually rotating components of an electromagnetic energy transmission system and provides simultaneous protection against contamination from the environment and unwanted electromagnetic leakage. In the illustrative embodiment, a first set of grooves is cut into the exterior of a first conductive cylindrical component whose interior contains a portion of a millimeter-wave beam waveguide energy transmission system, the grooves comprising the electromagnetic portion of the seal and a second set of grooves is cut into the interior of the conductive housing enclosing the first conductive cylindrical component. The second set of grooves comprises the environmental portion of the seal when a set of standard environmental seals (such as elastomeric o-ring seals) are seated in each groove in the second set of grooves and each seal is compressed between the groove in which it is seated and the exterior of the first conductive cylindrical component. The environmental seals maintain a nearly uniform annular gap between the first conductive cylindrical component and the conductive housing such that the two conductors do not make physical contact.10-09-2008
20090128040SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR WAVEGUIDES - In various representative aspects, the present invention provides systems and methods for waveguides. A waveguide may comprise a housing and a plurality of reflective surfaces configured to couple to the housing. The housing may be configured to couple to an electromagnetic wave beam generator. The electromagnetic wave beam generator may, be configured to provide a wave beam having a polarization substantially similar to its initial polarization. At least one of the plurality of reflective surfaces may be configured to convert the mode of an incident wave beam. The plurality of reflective surfaces may be configured for alignment in a waveguide.05-21-2009
