20100144375Method for Determining the Path of a Person Equipped With a Mobile Phone Device - The invention relates to a method, which can be used to determine the local itinerary of a user of a variety of public means of transportation. Based on said determined itinerary then the travel cost can be equitably distributed among the individual operators of the means of transportation. The basis of the method is a comparison of the coordinates of stops of the public means of transportation with the coordinates of base stations for sending and receiving operations in mobile phone communication (GSM). Said coordinates must be determined only once and can be stored in a memory. If the coordinates of a base station into which a mobile phone is logged are close to the coordinates of a stop, it is assumed that the user of the mobile phone is located at said stop. During the travel of the user of the public means of transportation, it is detected at regular intervals—for example in intervals of 30 seconds—into what base station the mobile phone is logged. Then it is determined again which stop is the shortest distance from the base station just activated, and a conclusion is drawn about a line that the user is traveling on. Since the base method is still prone to inaccuracies, additional measures may be taken in order to make the route of the user of the mobile phone more precise. Such a measure is, for example, the comparison of the official schedule with the measured time and location information. By utilizing certain steps of the method it can also be checked whether the owner of the mobile phone is in possession of a properly purchased electronic ticket.06-10-2010

20100139019Cleaning Apparatus for Large Diameter Pipe - Apparatus for cleaning the interior surfaces of large diameter pipe provides a lightweight basic structure that is easily adapted to clean a range of diameters of pipe. The apparatus uses an interlocked drive mechanism to develop axial movement of the device and synchronize the rotary movement of the cleaning nozzles. The rate of movement is adjustable, to accommodate pipe of varying diameters. That way, the cleaning spray covers a swath of pipe surface, with a minimum overlap between passes, with no gaps in the cleaning.06-10-2010

20100126540Tube Lancing Machine - A pair of parallel metal lances is driven by a transversal drive into and out of heat exchanger tubes. The lances are supported by a plurality of spaced apart, retractable door supports so that the transversal drive mechanism can approach the tube sheet of the heat exchanger tubes as closely as possible. A pair of rotational drive motors rotates the lances at a user controllable speed. As the lances are moved into the tubes, the interlocked support doors retract one at a time, sequentially. Similarly, as the lances are withdrawn from the tubes, the support doors close one at a time in an interlocked fashion.05-27-2010

A first intermediate result is determined that indicates whether the pixel represents water-dominated tissue or fat-dominated tissue on the basis of first magnetic resonance signals. A second intermediate result is determined that indicates whether the pixel represents the silicon-dominated substance on the basis of second magnetic resonance signals. The pixel is designated as representing water-dominated tissue, fat-dominated tissue or the silicon-dominated substance on the basis of the first intermediate result and the second intermediate result.09-30-2010

The analog signals are supplied to a third pulse width modulator controlled with the digital fine portion, where a low-pass filter (TP12-02-2010
20100305896Field Device for Process Instrumentation - A field device for process instrumentation, in particular a measuring transducer, comprising an analogue output to which a two-wire line is connectable for transmitting an analogue output signal. The output circuit contains a controller with an actuator connected downstream for the analogue output signal. A monitoring unit monitors whether an actuating signal remains within a predeterminable value range to monitor the output circuit for correctly setting the loop current. If the actuating signal is outside the value range, an indicator signal is output to a computing unit so that suitable measures can be introduced in response to an error state that has thus been identified.12-02-2010
20110043189Method for the Secure Acquisition of Multiple Analog Input Signals, Analog Input Circuit, and Measuring Sensor and Measuring Transducer Having an Analog Input Circuit of This Type - A method for securely acquiring multiple analog input signals that are converted using a plurality of A/D converters into corresponding digital single measured values. A first measurement averaging cycle having a predetermined total number of measuring intervals is predetermined by a higher-order control unit. First and second input signals are acquired by first and second A/D converters in a first and second number of measuring intervals, the second number being smaller than the first number. The first and second input signals are averaged to form first and second measured values, respectively. The first input signal is acquired by the second A/D converter in a third number of measuring intervals as at least one further single measured value. A message is output if a deviation of the at least one further single measured value from a single measured value of the first input signals measured by the first A/D converter or from the first measured values averaged up to that point exceeds a maximum permissible absolute value of the deviation.02-24-2011
