20110284545Container Assembly with Flexible Lid Seal - A storage container assembly comprises a storage receptacle and a removable lid. The storage receptacle has a base and a continuous sidewall connected to the base. The sidewall projects upward from the base to a peripheral edge. The removable lid has a rigid central cover portion and a flexible seal portion that traverses a perimeter of the rigid central portion. The flexible seal portion has a release tab disposed along its periphery, and a pocket disposed inward of the release tab. The flexible seal portion further has a ledge disposed generally at the periphery of the flexible seal portion. The ledge contacts the peripheral edge of the storage receptacle. The flexible seal portion further has and a blade portion disposed below the ledge. The blade portion contacts the side wall of the storage receptacle and forms a generally fluid-tight seal with the sidewall.11-24-2011

20090069635Retraction Apparatus And Method Of Use - A retraction apparatus and method are disclosed that provide optimized access to a surgical site. In one form, a retraction frame has a retraction opening with two sets of blades operating therein. The blades are used to sequentially retract the tissue from about an incision. The sequential retraction of the blades generates only narrow gaps between the blades so that tissue and blood encroachment during the surgical procedure are minimized.03-12-2009
20090299148Retraction Apparatus and Method of Use - A retraction apparatus and method are provided including slider assemblies for being slidably connected to a retractor body with end portions of the slider assemblies disposed within a central retractor opening. A retractor blade is slidably connected to one of the slider assembly end portions such that the depth of the retractor blade can be readily adjusted. Once the retractor blade is at the desired depth within the incision, a handle is pivoted to a locked position to fix the blade relative to the slider assembly. A cantilever lock between the blade and the slider assembly pivots the blade relative to the slider assembly to fix the blade thereto. In one form, the retractor body has a substantially flat surface configured to be placed adjacent a bone and slide connections which position slider assemblies such that the connected blades avoid contact with the bone during retraction.12-03-2009
20100160977Low Profile Dual Locking Fixation System and Offset Anchor Member - A coupling device for securing an elongate member to the spine is provided. The coupling device comprises a compressible inner member that secures an anchor member therein when the inner member is axially shifted within an outer member. The elongate member is retained within the device by an axially inserted locking member, and may be secured independently of the anchor member. The coupling device and anchor may be configured to provide increased angulation of the anchor with respect to the coupling device. For instance, anchor member may have an offset head portion in order to provide normal pivoting of the coupling device when the anchor is attached to bone at an angle.06-24-2010
20100204735Wide Angulation Coupling Members For Bone Fixation System - A coupling assembly is provided with a yoke device that allows an anchor member secured thereto to rotate in a turret-like manner with respect to an elongate member secured by the yoke in addition to allowing the anchor member to pivot away from the central axis of the yoke. A first yoke member holds the elongate member and is rotatably coupled to a second yoke member that holds a bone anchor. A combination of rotation of the second yoke member and pivoting of the anchor member allows the anchor to be positioned in a wide variety of orientations with respect to the yoke device and elongate member.08-12-2010
20100312279Minimally Invasive Surgical System - A multi-stage minimally invasive surgical procedure and associated instruments are disclosed. First, the surgical site is prepared. After preparation, the bone screws or anchors are attached to the bone. Subsequent to insertion of the screws, a rod or connecting member is positioned within the yoke portion of the bone screw. Caps are then placed in a pre-lock position within the yokes. The bone screws may be compressed together or distracted along the rod or connecting member, thereby setting the final spacing of the bones or bone segments. Finally the caps are moved to a final lock position to fix the screws to the rod or connecting member to maintain the bones in position relative to each other.12-09-2010
20110054535Size Transition Spinal Rod - Spinal rods are provided that transition from one diameter to another without an extended transition region to which coupling devices may not be attached, allowing coupling devices for mounting the spinal rod to the spine to be secured almost anywhere along the rod's length without having a weakened transition point.03-03-2011
20110190824Occipital Plate for Spinal Fusion - Plate devices are provided for mounting to bone and receiving one or more spinal rods. The devices may include coupling members or rod receiving members coupled to the plate member and configured to have multiple degrees of adjustability in order to accommodate elongate connecting members of various orientations. The plate devices may also include quick locking features or locking devices that secure multiple points of articulation simultaneously.08-04-2011

20100332284Internet Package Shipping Systems and Methods - Systems and methods for shipping a package from a package sender to an intended recipient, utilizing Internet communications to place shipping orders, request on demand package pickup, maintain and utilize pre-stored profile information, view shipping history, track orders, etc. A package sender with an Internet-accessible computer accesses an Internet site and associated shipping system operated by a shipping service provider. The package sender enters information required for shipping the package, including shipping options and methods for payment, and the shipment transaction is validated. If the transaction is validated, printer indicia are communicated to the customer's computer, which is enabled to locally print a prepaid label containing special machine-readable as well as human-readable indicia. The shipping service provider acquires the package by drop-off, standard pickup or on call pickup, scans the machine readable indicia, verifies other indicia of authenticity, and processes the package in accordance with information encoded on the label.12-30-2010
