20080267448SECURITY DOCUMENT HAVING INTEGRATED COPY-VOID AND VALIDATION SECURITY FEATURES - Documents for minimizing and detecting fraudulent activity are provided. The document comprises a printable substrate, a first security feature that forms a latent copy-void warning message that visually appears on an electronically printed reproduction of the document original, and a second security feature that forms a latent validation message that visually appears on a digital reproduction of the document original. This arrangement allows a possessor of the printed document reproduction to quickly identify it as a counterfeit by virtue of the presence of the copy-void warning message on the document original, and allows an inspector of a digital document reproduction to quickly identify it as an authentic digital reproduction of the document original by virtue of the presence and exactness of the validation message. The second security feature is at least partially embedded, and can be completely embedded, within the first security feature. In this manner, a criminal who attempts to circumvent the first security feature by removing the latent copy-void warning message, will inadvertently remove the latent validation message. As a result, any document generated from such fraudulent activity will not contain the validation message, thereby indicating to an inspector of the digital image that it was not generated from the document original.10-30-2008

20080208726Method and system for securing credit accounts - An enterprising identity thief may open new credit accounts in a consumer's name and then place a credit freeze on a consumer's credit file, thus making it more difficult to detect or remedy the identity theft. This problem may be solved by automatically requesting a security freeze at each of the three main credit bureaus upon the enrollment of a consumer with the service provider. The requesting of the security freeze may result in the credit bureau generating an identification code for the consumer at each of the credit bureaus. The service provider then may immediately request that the security freeze be removed. Accordingly, the consumer may gain control of the security freeze credentials from each credit bureau before the identity thief.08-28-2008
20090205036Secure information storage and delivery system and method - A system for secure information storage and delivery includes a vault repository that includes a secure vault associated with a user, wherein the secure vault is associated with a service level including at least one of a data type or a data size limit associated with the secure vault, the secure vault being adapted to receive and at least one data entry and securely store the at least one data entry if the at least one of a size or a type of the at least one data entry is consistent with the service level. A mobile vault server coupled to the vault repository creates a mobile vault on a mobile device based on the secure vault and is capable of authenticating the mobile device based on user authentication information. The mobile vault server includes a mobile device handler that communicates with the mobile device. A synchronization utility determines whether the at least one data entry on the secure vault is transferable to or storable on the mobile vault based on at least one of the size or the type of the at least one data entry and transfers the at least one data entry from the secure vault to a corresponding data entry on the mobile vault if the at least one data entry on the secure vault is determined to be transferable to or storable on the mobile vault.08-13-2009
