Retrieval Of Vehicular Traffic Information Optimized For Wireless Mobile Environments - Two-way communication between a mobile device and a server is used to provide increased relevance of traffic information at lower bandwidth. The complexity, amount of storage and processing power required of the mobile navigation device are minimized, since the server performs much of the required computing. A transactional billing model can be used to bill the driver based on usage or consumption of traffic information. A driver selects a destination and routing preferences on a mobile device, and the local system generates a routing. The mobile device sends the planned route and preferences to a server. The server uses real-time traffic flow and incident information to determine an estimated driving time for the planned route. The server may also generate alternative routes, with an estimated time for each alternative route. The traffic and time information for the planned and alternative routes are then transmitted back to the mobile device. | 10-08-2009

Secure hosted databases - A hosted relational database can be securely accessed by application developers, relieving the developer of the need to engage in server side development. A database programming API is accessible from a browser-based application that abstracts details of client/server HTTP communication with the database. This results in a reduction in software development because the developer's application does not require server-side programming or database installation and administration. There is a consummate reduction in hardware costs for the application developer, since those costs are borne by the hosted database provider. One or more physical database systems are segmented into virtual databases. The owner of a virtual database configures the data model through a web-based user interface. Parameterized queries and relationships between tables are also created using the web-based interface. | 03-05-2009

SIZE CONVERTIBLE MATTRESS - A mattress converts from a crib mattress with side walls and end walls surrounding an infant sleeping surface on a central mattress section therebetween to a twin mattress with a substantially planar sleeping surface to support a reclining child or adult. The end walls and side walls are tethered or hingedly connected to the central mattress section and are moveable from an upright position (crib mattress) to an open position (twin mattress). Sidewall extensions are hingedly connected to the side walls and are pivotably moveable from a first position above the side walls to a second position axially aligned with the side walls when the side walls are in the open position. | 09-01-2011

APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING BUSINESS ACTIVITY MONITORING - Apparatus and methods for providing a business activity monitoring system. The apparatus and methods may involve monitoring a plurality of business activities that take place within a business communication network; formulating a monitoring program for activities that extend from inside the network to a platform outside the network; and, providing a business activity monitoring system that is configured to monitor activities on the business platform that is outside the network. | 03-11-2010
MONITORING IN AN AUTOMATED CLEARING HOUSE PROCESSING ENVIRONMENT - Systems, methods, and computer program products provide for monitoring activities related to Automated Clearing House (ACH) processing and, in specific embodiments, monitoring activities related to ACH in processing in shared ACH processing environment in which two or more financial institutions share access to the shared ACH processing platform. The monitoring provides for determining that events associated with a respective monitored ACH processes trigger a respective alarm, generating the alarm messages based on the triggering events and providing for computer network access to results of the monitoring including the one or more alarm messages. As such the present invention provides real-time visibility to process owners regarding the health of their processes. Thereby, allowing the process owners the ability to address processing problems as they occur and mitigate overall risk involved in the processing. | 07-07-2011

GIMBALED, ARTICULATED AND SLIDING SINGLE AND DUAL WALL PRESSURE BALANCED TRANSFER TUBES - The present invention provides an apparatus and method for connecting two sub-flow systems (e.g. airplane fuel tanks) and conveying a fluid between the two sub-systems using a pressured balanced transfer tube, particularly when there are large radial and axial movements or offsets between the sub-systems. Unlike conventional fluid transfer systems, the present apparatus and method allow for the pressure in the transfer tube to be balanced to internalize the pressure forces and prevent the exertion of pressure forces on the sub-systems connected to the transfer tube. | 01-21-2010
