20080281472 | Open Web Services-Based Indoor Climate Control System - The present invention relates generally to a building automation system, and, more particularly, to an Internet-centric, open, extensible software and hardware framework supporting all aspects of control and monitoring of a smart building ecosphere. The present invention further relates to an “intelligent,” real-time control system capable of both autonomous process control and interaction with system users and system administrators, which is configured to accommodate functional extensions and a broad array of sensors and control devices. The system allows individuals to communicate, monitor and adjust their personal environmental preferences (temperature, light, humidity, white noise, etc.) much like they would in an automobile, via the Internet. The system is equipped with an occupancy sensor that recognizes the presence and identity of the individual. A built-in expert system can make decisions based on data from multiple sources so that the system can alter its activity to conserve energy while maintaining users' comfort. | 11-13-2008 |

20090092049 | System, method and computer readable medium for communicating with a zigbee device from a peripheral network - In order to minimize traffic on a Zigbee network, a gateway of the Zigbee network represents end devices in communications with peripheral networks. The gateway receives messages, such as status request messages, from the peripheral network intended for an end device on the Zigbee network. The Zigbee network generates a response message by retrieving stored data for the end device instead of communicating the received message to the end device. | 04-09-2009 |
20120069736 | SYSTEM, METHOD AND COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM FOR COMMUNICATING WITH A ZIGBEE DEVICE FROM A PERIPHERAL NETWORK - In order to minimize traffic on a Zigbee network, a gateway of the Zigbee network represents end devices in communications with peripheral networks. The gateway receives messages, such as status request messages, from the peripheral network intended for an end device on the Zigbee network. The Zigbee network generates a response message by retrieving stored data for the end device instead of communicating the received message to the end device. | 03-22-2012 |

20100053102 | MOTION SENSOR DATA PROCESSING AND INTERFACE AND METHOD THEREOF - A motion sensor comprises a touch screen, and a motion indictor proximate to the touch screen, the touch screen displaying: an adjusting bar indicating a threshold at which motion is detected, and a level bar indicating an amount of currently measured motion. | 03-04-2010 |
20120304120 | DATA-DRIVEN MENUING SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING A FLEXIBLE USER INTERFACE ON AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE - An architecture for altering the content of a menuing system with little or no change to existing firmware of an electronic device is disclosed. A menu text file is generated and the menu text file is compiled into source code. Menu firmware is compiled and liked using the source code into a downloadable binary for the electronic device. The downloadable binary does not alter existing firmware of the electronic device. | 11-29-2012 |

20090027070 | ELECTROCHEMICAL IMPEDANCE SPECTROSCOPY METHOD AND SYSTEM - A dual cell Electrochemical Impedance System (EIS) testing apparatus and method for measuring coating integrity on various substrates. The counter reference electrode is in a first cell in electrical contact with the coating. The working electrode is in a second cell in electrical contact with the coating instead of the substrate material acting as the working electrode. Voltage is applied at the working electrode at varying frequencies and current is measured at the combined reference/counter electrode. From the known voltage and the measured current, the impedance of the coating is calculated. Coatings on non-metallic substrates can be measured with this apparatus. In one embodiment, the EIS cells are in the form of vacuum cups containing an electrolyte gel for testing non-horizontal coatings in the field. Also, known current can be applied to the working electrode and voltage measured at the counter reference electrode can be used to calculate coating impedance. | 01-29-2009 |
