20090320143SENSOR INTERFACE - A sensor application programming interface (API) is capable of restricting an application's access to sensor data measured by a sensor, while at the same time providing access to sensor properties of the sensor, even if access has not been granted to the application for the sensor.12-24-2009
20100295873AUTOMATIC USER VIEWING PREFERENCE - A system may allow an initial viewing adjustment curve set at a factory to be adjusted by a user, and the adjustment may pull the viewing adjustment curve in a particular direction, but may not result in a multistep, jerky viewing adjustment curve. The curve of the viewing adjustment curve may remain a curve, but, through the use of regions and smoothing, the viewing adjustment curve may retain its curve design.11-25-2010

20100103098User Interface Elements Positioned For Display - User interface elements positioned for display is described. In various embodiment(s), sensor input can be received from one or more sensors that are integrated with a portable device. A device hold position that corresponds to where the portable device is grasped by a user can be determined based at least in part on the sensor input. A display of user interface element(s) can then be initiated for display on an integrated display of the portable device based on the device hold position that corresponds to where the portable device is grasped.04-29-2010

20080288857SHARING EDITABLE INK ANNOTATED IMAGES WITH ANNOTATION-UNAWARE APPLICATIONS - Data associated with pixels obscured by annotations in an annotated image is stored using an annotation mask enabling annotation-aware applications to reconstruct the original image, while annotation-unaware applications can display the annotated image with optimized increase in extra data to be stored. The annotation mask, same size as the image, is initialized to a monochrome default and the color depth information for obscured pixels saved within the annotation mask. Because a majority area of the annotation mask is monochrome, it compresses well and the obscured image content can be saved in a side channel, metadata header, or a separate file. During reconstruction, changes to annotated image such as rotation, size change, and the like, may be detected and accounted for when obscured image content is carried over to the annotated image for reconstruction.11-20-2008
20100103186Enhanced User Interface Elements in Ambient Light - Enhanced user interface elements in ambient light is described. In embodiment(s), a sensor input can be received from light sensor(s) that detect ambient light proximate an integrated display of a portable device. A determination can be made that the ambient light detracts from the visibility of user interface elements displayed in a user interface on the integrated display, and graphic components of a user interface element can be modified to enhance the visibility of the user interface element for display in the ambient light.04-29-2010

20080229186Persisting digital ink annotations as image metadata - Techniques are described for storing data about a displayed image. Image data corresponding to the displayed image is received. One or more ink annotations associated with the displayed image are received. The image data is stored to a first portion of the image file. A representation of the ink annotations are stored in a second portion of the image file.09-18-2008
20080229192Interactive image tagging - Techniques are described for performing automatic generation of one or more tags associated with an image file. One or more ink annotations for a displayed image are received. Handwriting recognition processing of the one or more ink annotations is performed. A string is generated and the string includes one or more recognized words used to form the one or more tags associated with the image file. The handwriting recognition processing and generating the string are performed in response to receiving the ink annotations.09-18-2008

20110038945Orally ingestable medicament and method for treating a heartburn inducing event or an acid reflux episode in a living human subject - The present invention is a medicament, which is orally ingested by a living human subject for the prophylactic or therapeutic treatment of a heartburn inducing event or an acid reflux episode (GERD). In the preferred embodiments, the complete medicament is a fluid blending of at least one concentrated vinegar made by the fermentation of a fruit or fruit sugar, or a vegetable carbohydrate or sugar, or a grain carbohydrate or sugar; an undiluted bioactive honey having unique, non-peroxide antibacterial activity; a natural flavoring agent or combination of different natural flavors to neutralize the taste of the concentrated vinegar; and a natural sweetener to give the fluid blending a palatable taste. In these formulations, the concentrated vinegar serves to treats the symptoms of the heartburn and/GERD; and the undiluted bioactive honey employs its non-peroxide antibacterial activity to treat inflammation of the esophagus and infections of the stomach.02-17-2011

20100212755Water collection and dispersion system and functional landscape architecture - A water collection and dispersion system includes one or a series of units including structures that can be assembled for holding a leak proof liner. The liner collects water, such as, rainwater from a downspout or grey water from a building. The units can be constructed to resemble outdoor furniture such as patio walls, seating, tables, and the like. The units can also be constructed to function as framework for structures such as garden sheds, garages, pergolas, and the like.08-26-2010
