20110035274Determining Impressions for Mobile Devices - Methods, systems and apparatus for determining impressions of advertisements placed on rendered web pages displayed in a viewport of a mobile device. An impression is determined to have occurred if a display of an advertisement in the viewport exceeds certain display thresholds so that the advertisement is likely to be discernible to a user of the device. These display thresholds can include, for example, the percentage of the advertisement displayed in the viewport of the device and the zoom level of the viewport (or scale of the viewport). The display thresholds can also include the duration with which the advertisement is displayed in the viewport.02-10-2011

20090035662NEGATIVE-LIMITED LITHIUM-ION BATTERY - A rechargeable lithium-ion battery includes a positive electrode that includes a first current collector and a first active material. The battery also includes an electrolyte and a negative electrode that includes a second current collector and a second active material, where the second active material includes a lithium titanate material. The positive electrode has a first capacity and the negative electrode has a second capacity, the second capacity being less than the first capacity such that the rechargeable lithium-ion battery is negative-limited.02-05-2009
20090274849FORMATION PROCESS FOR LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES - A method for producing a battery includes providing a battery having a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte that includes a solvent and a salt. The capacity of the negative electrode is less than that of the positive electrode and the negative electrode includes an active material having an average potential versus a lithium reference electrode of greater than approximately 0.2 volts. The method also includes applying an initial charge to the battery at a voltage that is greater than a fully charged voltage of the battery for a sufficient amount of time to cause at least a portion of the solvent to undergo a reduction reaction. The step of applying an initial charge to the battery acts to increase the irreversible capacity loss of the battery during the initial charge and provides the battery with enhanced tolerance to deep discharge conditions.11-05-2009
20100279155LITHIUM-ION BATTERY WITH ELECTROLYTE ADDITIVE - A rechargeable lithium-ion battery includes a positive electrode and a negative electrode that includes a lithium titanate active material. A separator is provided between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The battery also includes an electrolyte and an electrolyte additive comprising at least one boroxine ring.11-04-2010

20100070758Group Formation Using Anonymous Broadcast Information - A number of devices co-located at a geographic location can broadcast and receive tokens. Tokens can be exchanged using a communication link having limited communication range. Tokens that are received by a device can be stored locally on the device and/or transmitted to a trusted service operating remotely on a network. In some implementations, the tokens can be stored with corresponding timestamps to assist a trusted service in matching or otherwise correlating the tokens with other tokens provided by other devices. The trusted service can perform an analysis on the tokens and timestamps to identify devices that were co-located at the geographic location at or around a contact time which can be defined by the timestamps. A group can be created based on results of the analysis. Users can be identified as members of the group and invited to join the group.03-18-2010

20090055384SHARED INFLUENCE SEARCH - In one embodiment, a search query is received from a user. Then a designated expert for the search query is determined. Search results based at least in part upon previous actions taken by the expert relevant to the search query are then identified. These results may then be returned to the user.02-26-2009
20090119100ASSOCIATING ANNOTATION RECORDING WITH A CELL PHONE NUMBER - A method, system and computer program product for creating voice annotations during a mobile phone call. During the phone call a user engages a trigger on the communication device prompting the phone to first mute the device of the user, and then record an audible message. The audible message, or voice annotation, is automatically linked to the current call information. The voice annotation may be transcribed and stored as a textual annotation. The voice or textual annotation may be retrieved utilizing a graphical user interface (GUI).05-07-2009
20090119204ELECTRONIC SYSTEM FOR SELECTING THE BEST CARD FROM A COLLECTION OF CONSUMER CREDIT, DEBIT, AND DISCOUNT CARDS - A method, system and computer program product for enabling completion of purchase transactions by retrieving purchase card information from an electronic database of consumer cards and applying the appropriate card to the transaction. The database, managed by a central card authority, stores client account information for cards such as debit, credit, phone, and discount cards, which are accessible via a unique, secure login/access credential, such as a username and password combination. During registration with the central card authority, a client classifies key/important factors to consider when performing purchases. The central card authority is accessed by the client during purchases from a retail facility and/or other purchasing environment. The central card authority automatically selects the best card to utilize during a purchase, after weighing the important purchasing factors related to the credit, debit, phone, and discount cards registered with the central card authority.05-07-2009
