20090221685OLIGOMERIC COMPOUNDS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR THE USE IN MODULATION OF MICRORNAS - Compounds, compositions and methods are provided for modulating the levels expression, processing and function of miRNAs. The compositions comprise oligomeric compounds targeted to small non-coding RNAs and miRNAs. The oligomeric compounds possess potent miRNA inhibitory activity, and further exhibit improved therapeutic index. Further provided are methods for selectively modulating miRNA activity in a cell.09-03-2009
20090306178CONJUGATED DOUBLE STRAND COMPOSITIONS FOR USE IN GENE MODULATION - The present invention provides conjugated double stranded compositions wherein each strand is modified to have a motif defined by positioning of β-D-ribonucleosides and/or sugar modified nucleosides. More particularly, the present compositions comprise a linked conjugate group on one strand and a non hybridizing region of 2′-modified nucleosides on the other strand. Each strand further comprises one or more phosphorothioate internucleoside linkage. The compositions are useful for targeting selected nucleic acid molecules and modulating the expression of one or more genes. In preferred embodiments the compositions of the present invention hybridize to a portion of a target RNA resulting in loss of normal function of the target RNA. The present invention also provides methods for modulating gene expression.12-10-2009
20110046206DOUBLE STRAND COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING DIFFERENTIALLY MODIFIED STRANDS FOR USE IN GENE MODULATION - The present invention provides double stranded compositions wherein the first strand is modified to have a particular motif and the second strand is modified a selected motif. The motifs are defined by positioning of differentially modified nucleosides wherein at least the sugar moieties are different. More particularly, the present compositions comprise an antisense strand that is modified to have a positional/full motif and the sense strand is modified to have an alternating motif, a hemimer motif, a blockmer motif, a gapped motif, a positional motif, a positional/full motif or a fully modified motif. The present invention also provides methods for modulating gene expression.02-24-2011

20080276278USER INTERFACE PRESENTING ENHANCED VIDEO CONTENT INFORMATION ASSOCIATED WITH VIDEO PROGRAMS - Providing interactive access to video programming and video content information in a multimedia system. A processing device of the multimedia system receives video content information associated with video programming that is to be broadcast. The video content information includes at least video identification information and video content information. The display device of the multimedia system presents a first interface image that presents the video content information for one of the video programs of the video programming. In response to viewer input, a second interface image is displayed on the display device presenting video content information for another one of the video programs of the video programming or for more detailed information associated with the video program. In this manner, the viewer can conveniently navigate through the video content information and identify information that is useful in selecting a program to watch.11-06-2008

20080268750Apparatus for Manufacturing a Face Gear - A precision grinding apparatus for grinding face gears having a gear table portion controllably driven for rotation about a central axis, and also being movable in a vertical plane along an axis in a controlled manner. The apparatus further includes a case hardened face mounted on the gear table portion. A grinding wheel mounted on the apparatus has controlled driven rotation about a central axis C, and is provided with a grinding surface of predetermined shape. The grinding wheel is movable in a controlled manner toward and away from the gear along a feed axis V, the grinding wheel being movable in a controlled manner in a tangential direction with respect to the gear and orthogonal to the feed axis along a tangential feed axis wherein the motion of the grinding wheel in the C, V and TF axes, and movement of the gear in B and W axes, is controlled by a central control means.10-30-2008
