Pharmaceutical compositions - Provided herein is a pharmaceutical composition comprising an antagonist, an agonist, a seal coat, and a sequestering polymer, wherein the antagonist, agonist, seal coat and at least one sequestering polymer are all components of a single unit, and wherein the seal coat forms a layer physically separating the antagonist from the agonist from one another. Methods for manufacturing such a pharmaceutical composition are also provided. | 09-25-2008

Hyperextension Brace - A posture correction brace for a person has a tightening mechanism that allows a user to pull a cord to pull down on the back of a pair of shoulder straps, thereby pulling the shoulders back to correct the person's posture. The front ends of the shoulder straps are typically also attached to the back of the wearer, to help the posture correction brace pull the shoulders back as the shoulder straps tighten. | 06-23-2011

Highly Adjustable Lumbar Support And Methods - A body brace for a wearer has a combination of adjustment mechanisms and fasteners to help fit the body brace to a wearer. A wearer first fastens the body brace about his abdomen and lumbar regions to generally fit the body brace around the wearer's waist. The wearer then adjusts one set of adjustment mechanisms that adjust an upper and lower circumference of the brace to allow the brace to fit both straight and pear-shaped bodies. Lastly, the wearer adjusts a second set of adjustment mechanisms that tighten a rear panel of the body brace against a lumbar region of the wearer. Preferably, the adjustment mechanism that is used to tighten the rear panel is an advantaged adjustment mechanism to allow for fine-tuning and a snug fit. | 07-30-2009
Cervical Collar With Kyphosis Adjustment - A cervical collar can be adjustable with respect to a wearer's head and neck, and include a back portion positionable posterior to a wearer's neck. The collar can also include a member that extends anteriorly relative to the back portion, and can have a mechanism adapted to reposition a prominence of the member superiorly, inferiorly, anteriorly, and posteriorly relative to the portion while the collar is installed on the wearer. A method of enforcing a lordotic curve in a wearer's cervical spine is also disclosed including installing a cervical collar on the wearer, adjusting the cervical collar to fit the wearer's head and neck, and positioning a member so that the member extends anteriorly with respect to the back portion to an extent that is independent of a tightness of the collar about the neck. | 10-21-2010
Cervical-Thoracic Orthotic With Cervical Collar - An orthosis comprises a cervical portion that holds a head in place relative to a thoracic portion worn by a wearer. The orthosis has an intermediate portion disposed intermediate the cervical and thoracic portions. The orthosis also has a first adjustment region that provides at least 15° of relative movement between the cervical and intermediate portions, and a second adjustment region that provides at least 15° of relative movement between the thoracic and intermediate portions. First and second adjustment regions allow the orthosis to comfortably accommodate differently proportioned wearers, and each comprises one or more locking devices to prevent undesired movement of the cervical and thoracic portions relative to the intermediate portion. | 11-25-2010

Carriage assembly - The present invention relates to a carriage assembly having a housing, having a cam disc and having a carriage which is guided in a linearly movable fashion, with the cam disc and carriage being operatively connected to one another. In order to specify a carriage assembly which is of the smallest possible construction, the invention proposes that a cam disc is arranged orthogonally with respect to a rear side of the housing. | 01-21-2010

APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR DETERMINISTIC FILE ALLOCATIONS FOR PARALLEL OPERATIONS - An apparatus, system, and method for determining the maximum supported degree of parallel sort operations in a multi-processor computing environment. An allocation module allocates a minimum number of sort files to a sort operation for each data source that participates in the parallel sort. The allocation module attempts to allocate sort files of one-half the sort operation data source file size, and iteratively reduces the sort file size requests in response to determinations that sort files of the requested size are not available. After allocation, a parallel operation module determines whether there is sufficient virtual storage to execute the sort operations in parallel. If there is not, the parallel operations module collapses the two smallest sort operations, thereby reducing the degree of parallelism by one, and repeats the request. The parallel operation module repeats the process until the sorts are executed or the process fails for lack of virtual storage. | 03-05-2009
