20100031220VIA STRUCTURE TO IMPROVE ROUTING OF WIRES WITHIN AN INTEGRATED CIRCUIT - In consideration for the fact that a connection on the upper layers of an integrated circuit needs to access a lower layer to connect to, e.g., a transistor, at least one via on each layer is required below the top layer used by a connection for each pin. The vias (i.e., the connection structures between wiring planes within an integrated circuit) are arranged such that the number of wiring resources blocked on the lower layers is reduced. Various rules govern which vias are chosen. The main characteristic is to elect only a certain number of wiring channels appropriate for the vias on a single layer and then apply an optimization within the restricted elected wiring channels on that layer to select the most appropriate vias.02-04-2010

20090044994FUEL CELL STACK FLOW DIVERSION - A fuel cell system has a compressor delivering compressed gas to a fuel cell stack and a control valve affecting the flow of compressed gas. A load dump condition is determined for the fuel cell stack. The flow through the compressor is increased and the additional flow diverted away from the fuel cell stack by the control valve to provide additional load for the fuel cell stack. The fuel cell stack may then be operated at a higher output power for the purpose of generating more waste heat to more rapidly warm itself.02-19-2009
20090325000AUTOMOTIVE ROTATABLE POWER TRANSFER SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATING SAME - A rotating power transfer system for an automotive fuel cell vehicle includes one of an impeller and turbine in fluid communication with a fuel cell stack, an electric machine and a shaft operatively associated with the one of impeller and turbine. The system also includes a heating element disposed within the shaft. The heating element is configured to be selectively electrically coupled with a stator coil of the electric machine.12-31-2009
