20110016536SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANAGING PERMISSIONS FOR INFORMATION OWNERSHIP IN THE CLOUD - The present invention relates to a central (root) directory and the synchronization of unique identifiers associated with a payment addresses and permission preferences at different institutions. In a preferred embodiment, each unique identifier associates an account owner's permissions preference for the release of personal identifying information without the need for transaction-by-transaction explicit permissions or blanket implicit permissions. An asset transfer deposit account (for information and/or monetary assets) may be set up as a deposit only account. In this way, the present invention can be effective in eliminating many privacy concerns of account owners and security requirements of an information asset repository.01-20-2011
20110246359METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR IDENTITY AUTHENTICATION - The Greenlist tool provides payors desiring to pay a merchant a means to locate, validate and effect the transfer of assets to another party by routing transaction requests to a third party that functions as the transaction enabler. This task is performed without divulging confidential information about transactors while assigning liability for certain risk consequences to the lowest cost risk bearers: banks. Greenlist verifies identities before making financial transactions or before obtaining access to restricted information. The Greenlist can be completely trusted by risk-bearers. Liability for risk can be transferred to the registrars of the information contained within the registry. This liability transfer substantially reduces the payor's cost of bearing risks. Banks or third parties responsible for certifying that someone or some entity claiming to be an authorized party is not an impostor can now offer new levels of service at a substantially lower cost for a variety of transactions.10-06-2011

20100032457Cup Sling - A cup sling is a carrier for a frusto-conical container that is a sleeve with straps for retaining and carrying the container. The sleeve defines an opening to receive the cup. The sleeve is cut in such a manner so that, when the top portion and the bottom portion of the sleeve are twisted in opposite directions, the center portion will form two loops, or straps, that will extend out to the sides of the container. These straps can be retained above the container to hold the container in a generally vertical position allowing the user to hang the container from a finger or hook. In addition, the user can tote the container in the cup sling while using the hand concurrently to hold or tote other items.02-11-2010

20090010409METHOD FOR BILLING IN A TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK - The present invention is directed to a method for placing a call between a client in one network and a client in another network. The IP network includes a SIP server and a network gateway configured to provide access to a public switched network. The method includes receiving a SIP call request message from the first client. The SIP call request message is authenticated to thereby identify an authentic originating client. Subsequently, a database is searched to find client billing tag corresponding to the authentic originating client. The call is completed if the client billing tag is obtained, and not completed if the client billing tag cannot be obtained. Thus, the present invention provides an efficient method for billing phone calls that are placed from SIP enabled devices to a telephone connected to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). The method of the present invention also substantially eliminates certain types of fraud.01-08-2009
20090110174CALLER TREATMENT IN A SIP NETWORK - In a SIP network, SIP servers are provisioned with information used to authenticate subscribers and entities that will be placing calls. This information can be used during call establishment to allow or deny calls, as well as to determine the appropriate party to bill if the call involves a charge, such as a long distance charge. In addition to allowing calls between authenticated and trusted entities, there is a need for the SIP server to allow certain kinds of calls that involve non-trusted users or entities. If non-trusted entities where not recognized, trusted users and entities within the SIP network would not be able to receive calls from users or entities not know to the SIP server that is providing them services.04-30-2009

A communications system includes a location server that receives a request from a calling station to establish a call with a station associated with a called party. The location server generates a message specifying a set of addresses relating to the called party and context information. A proxy server communicates with the location server and is configured to receive the message and to attempt to establish the call based on the set of addresses. The proxy server iteratively queries the location server to obtain another set of addresses if no prior address results in establishment of the call.11-19-2009

20110166458METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR NON-INVASIVELY MEASURING HEMODYNAMIC PARAMETERS USING PARAMETRICS - An improved method and apparatus for non-invasively assessing one or more hemodynamic parameters associated with the circulatory system of a living organism. In one aspect, the invention comprises a method of measuring a hemodynamic parameter (e.g., arterial blood pressure) by applanating or compressing portions of tissue proximate to the blood vessel of concern until a desired condition is achieved, and then measuring the hemodynamic parameter. Such applanation effectively mitigates transfer and other losses created by the tissue proximate to the blood vessel, thereby facilitating accurate and robust tonometric measurement. An algorithm adapted to maintain optimal levels of applanation is also described. Methods and apparatus for scaling such hemodynamic parameter measurements based on subject physiology, and providing treatment to the subject based on the measured parameters, are also disclosed.07-07-2011
20110263991METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROL OF NON-INVASIVE PARAMETER MEASUREMENTS - Improved methods and apparatus for non-invasively assessing one or more parameters associated with fluidic systems such as the circulatory system of a living organism, when such parameters are potentially affected by other concurrent events. In one exemplary embodiment, apparatus and methods for compensating for occlusive events (e.g., pressure cuff inflation) occurring ipsilateral to the location of parameter measurement are disclosed. Upon passive detection of signal degradation resulting from the event, the apparatus selectively enters a “wait state” wherein further processing of the hemodynamic data is suspended until the degrading event subsides. This behavior mitigates any adverse effects the event might have on the accuracy of the representation of the measured hemodynamic parameter generated by the system. In another exemplary embodiment, the measured data is analyzed in order to classify the type of event (e.g., occlusive or other), such classification allowing the system to appropriately tailor its response to the event.10-27-2011
