20090322585Surveillance satellite image denial system - A satellite surveillance countermeasure system uses an airborne platform to position a coherent radiation source above a substantial portion of the Earth's atmosphere. The coherent radiation source provides coherent radiation that is directed toward an enemy surveillance satellite, so as to reversibly deny the satellite the ability to image. By positioning the coherent radiation source at such an altitude, atmospheric attenuation and distortion are mitigated. Thus, a smaller, less powerful and less costly coherent radiation source can be utilized. The use of an airborne platform also makes the system more portable and affordable.12-31-2009
20100283848SURVEILLANCE IMAGE DENIAL VERIFICATION - An assessment method and system for characterizing the operation of an imaging system are disclosed. The assessment system can comprise a light source configured to illuminate the imaging system, a modulator configured to modulate light from the light source, a receiver configured to intercept communications from the imaging system, and an analyzer configured to analyze the intercepted communications. The assessment system can be used to determine the effectiveness of an image denial system that is used to prevent a surveillance satellite from providing imagery and can thereby provide an advantage on the battlefield.11-11-2010

20090243251METHODS AND APPARATUS RELATED TO A UNITARY FORK BRACE - Embodiments of a fork brace for a bicycle are disclosed herein. In one aspect, a brace portion is integrally formed along with two tubular fork members and an overlay fits in a mating relationship with the brace portion to create a unitary, tubular brace.10-01-2009
20090315295METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR RELEASABLY SUPPORTING A VEHICLE WHEEL ASSEMBLY - An axle for removably retaining a wheel on a vehicle. The axle comprises a rotary-type connector at a first end thereof; a cam assembly operatively connected to the second end, the cam assembly including a cam having an axis of rotation; a lever operatively connected to a second end of the axle, said lever being rotatable about an axis substantially parallel to the axis of rotation of the cam, between an open position in which the axle is removable from and mountable on the vehicle and a closed position in which the axle is retained on the vehicle; and a cam assembly operatively connected to the second end; and a lever stop ensuring that an angle of maximum rotation for the lever from the closed position is less than 180 degrees12-24-2009
20100133776METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR SELECTIVE STIFFNESS OF VEHICLE SUSPENSION - A method and apparatus for an adjustable suspension system for a vehicle comprises at least one strut. In one embodiment, the stanchion (or slider) is non-uniform with a major and minor circumferential stiffness and is adjustable relative to a fore and aft axis of the vehicle in order to provide a differing amount of stiffness relative thereto. In another embodiment, a portion of the stanchion is circular and a reinforcement is annularly disposed therearound with axial retention formations, The reinforcement has a non-uniform circumferential characteristic and is rotatable relative to the fore/aft axis of the vehicle.06-03-2010
20100160014METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR VIRTUAL COMPETITION - A system configured to be coupled with a participant of an activity. The system comprises: a participant activity monitoring unit configured for monitoring a performance of the activity by the participant; an activity information module configured for storing performance information corresponding to the activity; and a participant performance correlator configured for delivering comparative performance data based on the monitored performance of the activity by the participant and the stored performance information.06-24-2010
20100225081METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR LUBRICATING SUSPENSION COMPONENTS - Methods and apparatus for lubricating suspension seals by pumping fluid to the seals using a compression or rebound action of a suspension component.09-09-2010
20100276906SUSPENSION SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE - A suspension system for a vehicle includes a damping assembly operatively connected to an actuator; a controller for controlling movement of said actuator whereby a damping rate of said damping assembly is adjusted by movement of the actuator; and a signal generating device remote from said damping assembly, which device, in use, provides an output electric signal representing a desired user adjustment to the damping rate of said damping assembly, said controller adapted to receive said electric signal and control said actuator to adjust said damping rate according to said electric signal, whereby said damping rate may be remotely altered during use of said vehicle.11-04-2010
20100308516APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR A VEHICLE SHOCK ABSORBER - A method and apparatus for a vehicle shock absorber comprising a main damper cylinder, a first reservoir and a second reservoir. One embodiment includes a first operational mode where both reservoirs are in fluid communication with the cylinder. In a second operational mode, only one reservoir communicates with the cylinder during fluid evacuation from the cylinder. In each mode, rebound from either or both reservoirs may travel through a single, user-adjustable metering device.12-09-2010
20110202236METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR SUSPENSION ADJUSTMENT - Methods and apparatus of a system for vehicles comprising a vehicle suspension, a sensor operable to measure an operational characteristic of the vehicle suspension, and a processor in communication with the sensor that is operable to suggest an operational setting of the vehicle suspension in response to an input from the sensor corresponding to the operational characteristic. A method for adjusting a suspension of a vehicle may comprise receiving suspension data with a processor, calculating a suspension setting suggestion with the processor, communicating the suspension setting suggestion to a user interface device, and adjusting the suspension based on the suspension setting suggestion.08-18-2011
