20100080683SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROTECTING A WIND TURBINE IN HIGH WIND CONDITIONS - Systems for protecting a wind turbine in high wind conditions are disclosed. A shrouded turbine may have an ejector shroud disposed adjacent and downstream of a turbine shroud. In one version, the ejector shroud can move to surround the turbine shroud. In another version, the turbine can be pivoted on a support tower to cover the intake end of the turbine and rotate the turbine about an axis at a right angle to the tower axis. In another version, the turbine is supported by a telescoping tower which may be retracted to lower the turbine in high winds. In another version, the tower sections may be connected by a pivotable connection and supported by guy wire(s) which may be lengthened to lower the upper tower section pivotally.04-01-2010

20110030076Methods and compositions for targeted cleavage and recombination - Disclosed herein are methods and compositions for targeted cleavage of a genomic sequence, targeted alteration of a genomic sequence, and targeted recombination between a genomic region and an exogenous polynucleotide homologous to the genomic region. The compositions include fusion proteins comprising a cleavage domain (or cleavage half-domain) and an engineered zinc finger domain and polynucleotides encoding same. Methods for targeted cleavage include introduction of such fusion proteins, or polynucleotides encoding same, into a cell. Methods for targeted recombination additionally include introduction of an exogenous polynucleotide homologous to a genomic region into cells comprising the disclosed fusion proteins.02-03-2011
20110189775Targeted genomic alteration - Disclosed herein are methods and compositions for targeted integration and/or targeted excision of one or more sequences into a cell, for example, for expression of one or more polypeptides of interest.08-04-2011
20110207221Targeted genomic modification with partially single-stranded donor molecules - Disclosed herein are donor molecules comprising single-stranded complementary regions flanking one or more sequences of interest. The donor molecules and/or compositions comprising these molecules can be used in methods for targeted integration of an exogenous sequence into a specified region of interest in the genome of a cell.08-25-2011
