20090120116Fuse Generator - An air conditioning unit that will be more efficient by generating its own voltage. The present invention is a way to make an air conditioning unit more efficient by placing an actuator in line with the expanding refrigerant gas in communication with a generator that will generate a direct voltage (DC) that will in turn drive the two fan motors that most air conditioning units have.05-14-2009

20100154802INTRA-ORAL APNEA AND SNORING PREVENTIONG APPLIANCE - An intra-oral device used for people that snore or have sleep apnea is designed to move a user's lower jaw forward relative to the user's immovable upper jaw and to prevent the user's mouth from inadvertently opening while sleeping. The device includes upper and lower appliances fitted to the user's respective upper and lower dental arches. The lower appliance possesses a partially embedded bracket. An adjustment element is integrated into the upper portion of the bracket. With the user's mouth closed and the upper and lower appliances positioned over the user's respective dental arches, the adjustment element is moved rearward by worm action into load bearing contact against the forward facing immovable vertical contact wall of the upper appliance. This action moves the lower appliance forward, and thus, the user's lower jaw with its anatomically attached tongue are also moved forward relative to the mouth which in turn opens the user's airway. Also, a forward facing horizontal shoulder positioned at the lowest portion of the vertical contact wall acts against the adjustment element to prevent the user's mouth from opening while sleeping.06-24-2010

20100326742DRILL BIT FOR USE IN DRILLING SUBTERRANEAN FORMATIONS - A drill bit for drilling subterranean formations comprising a drill bit body including a group of primary cutting elements comprising a first primary cutting element and a second primary cutting element radially spaced apart from each other along a first radial axis. The drill bit body further including a group of backup cutting elements comprising a first backup cutting element in a secondary cutting position relative to the first primary cutting element and a second backup cutting element in secondary cutting positions relative to the second primary cutting element, wherein the first and second backup cutting elements are radially spaced apart from each other along a second radial axis different than the first radial axis and comprise a difference in cutting characteristic relative to each other of one of a backrake angle and a siderake angle.12-30-2010
20110031031CUTTING ELEMENT FOR A DRILL BIT USED IN DRILLING SUBTERRANEAN FORMATIONS - A cutting element for use in a drill bit for drilling subterranean formations includes a cutting body having a substrate including a rear surface, an upper surface, and a peripheral side surface extending between the rear surface and the upper surface, and a superabrasive layer overlying the upper surface of the substrate. The cutting element further includes a sleeve surrounding the peripheral side surface of the cutting body and comprising a superabrasive layer bonded to an external surface of the sleeve.02-10-2011
20110073369EARTH-BORING TOOLS, METHODS OF MAKING EARTH-BORING TOOLS AND METHODS OF DRILLING WITH EARTH-BORING TOOLS - Earth-boring tools comprise a body having a face at a leading end. A plurality of cutting elements are disposed over the face and configured as a plurality of kerfing pairs comprising two or more cutting elements disposed at substantially the same radial position relative to a bit axis, wherein each of the at least two cutting elements follows substantially the same cutting path when the bit is rotated about its axis. Earth-boring tools are further configured so that a summation of a lateral force generated during drilling by each cutting element of the plurality of cutting elements is directed toward a side of the body.03-31-2011

20090162140CLAMP TENSION COMPENSATING, SELF-SUSTAINING CUFF APPARATUS AND METHOD - A coupling apparatus for coupling free ends of a pair of tubular ducts in flow communication with one another, the free ends of the ducts being separated by an axial gap. The apparatus includes a sleeve having a length sufficient to span the gap and to overlap portions of the free ends of the ducts when the sleeve is secured to the free ends of the ducts. The sleeve includes a first stretchable ply of material, a non-stretchable ply of material, and a second stretchable ply of material sandwiched together to form a unitary assembly. The non-stretchable ply of material has an axial length approximately equal to the axial gap to fill the axial gap. A pair of clamps may be used to secure opposing end portions of the clamp to the free ends of a pair of ducts. The apparatus enables the free ends to be couple together even if slightly misaligned, and the sleeve is highly resistant to ballooning, slippage and rupturing.06-25-2009
