20080270069 | Device for Creating a Full Three-Dimensional Representation of a Limb of a Patient From a Reduced Number of Measurements Taken From Said Limb - The device comprises means for taking a height measurement (H) and a plurality of circumference measurements (b, c, g) on the limb of the patient at different predetermined z-positions (zb, zc, zg). A first data file comprises the coordinates (X | 10-30-2008 |
20090240279 | Knitted Compressive Orthosis of the Lower Limb for Treating Chronic Venous Insufficiency - This orthosis comprises a compressive leg portion extending upwards from the ankle. The structure of the row of stitches ensures a uniform distribution of the resilient return forces at the circumference of the orthosis around an outline corresponding to a horizontal section of the limb. The stitch structure and the dimensioning of the leg portion are selected in such a manner as to apply on a region (R) extending between the ankle and the knee, a therapeutic pressure once the orthosis has been put on the limb. The mean pressure Pc exerted on the center third (RC) of said compression region is greater both than the mean pressure Pb exerted on the distal third (RD) and than the mean pressure Pd exerted on the proximal third (RP) of said region, Pc, Pb, and Pd being the pressures exerted at the respective heights of points | 09-24-2009 |

20110274588 | AIR PURIFICATION DEVICES - An air purification reactor is described that has a variety of improvements. In one aspect, the air purification reactor includes an ionizer (or plasma chamber), an electrostatic filter, a photocatalyst, and a UV light source that is distinct from the ionizer. The ionizer is arranged to introduce ions into a gaseous fluid stream passing through the air purification device. The electrostatic filter is located downstream of the ionizer and is arranged to electrostatically filter particles from the fluid stream. The UV light source is positioned to subject the photocatalyst to ultraviolet light and may be arranged upstream, downstream, or intermediate the electrostatic filter. With this arrangement, the ultraviolet light that impinges on the photocatalyst causes a photocatalytic oxidative reaction to occur at the photocatalyst that is capable of reducing volatile organic compounds carried in the fluid stream. In other (separate) aspects, the reactor includes an absorber or an oxidation catalyst. Generally, the various aspects of the invention may be used separately or in combination with one another. | 11-10-2011 |
