20090278296Vise for archery bow - A bow vise for clamping an archery bow at three spaced contact points between first and second relatively pivotable bow clamping assemblies movable about a common pivot axis includes a bracket on each assembly spaced from the pivot axis and a pin rotatable in each bracket. One pin has a smooth bore aperture and the other a threaded aperture. A coiled spring biases the assemblies away from each other. A threaded rod passes through both apertures, threads into the threaded aperture and includes a knob at one end for rotatably moving the rod clockwise and counterclockwise. As the rod threads through the threaded aperture, the knob applies a force to one of the brackets to pivot the assemblies toward each other. The bow is configured for rotating the bow about three mutually perpendicular axes and for microadjusting the position of the bow about two such axes.11-12-2009

20110202963METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DISPLAYING BRANDED VIDEO TAGS - A method and apparatus for displaying branded video tags. An advertiser provides additional content associated with broadcast advertising content to a service provider that downloads the additional content to a digital video recorder (DVR). The service provider inserts command tags into the content that are intercepted by the DVR and interpreted as commands that instruct the DVR to perform specific actions when the DVR receives the stream from a broadcaster. The DVR intercepts and translates any tags inserted into the content stream while the DVR is playing the content stream. Tags can cause the DVR to display a branded video tag to the user which is a displayed icon that requests an interaction by the user and has an advertiser's logo(s) displayed in its vicinity.08-18-2011

20080284252Control methods for the synchronization and phase shift of the pulse width modulation (PWM) strategy of power converters - A method of controlling a plurality of power converters 11-20-2008
20110170323Method and control system for controlling power conversion in a power converter - A control system for controlling conversion of an input power into an output power in a converter module is provided. The control system includes an input power terminal, an output power terminal, and an active switching device. The control system further includes a master controller and a communication link interconnecting the master controller and the converter module. Also, the system has a timing generator generating a timing signal with a cycle time equal to or less than the shortest time constant of the converter module and immediate power circuit elements relating to the converter module. The timing generator is integrated in or interconnected with the master controller. Furthermore, the control system has a signal generator integrated in or interconnected with the master controller generating switching control signals, each switching control signal containing a control message defining a switching state for the active switching device.07-14-2011

20080269771Method and apparatus for ophthalmic surgery - In one embodiment of the invention, an endothelial keratoplasty device includes a distal portion with first and second holes. A vacuum is applied, via the holes, to stromal tissue of donor ophthalmic tissue. This helps the corneal surgeon insert the donor tissue into the patient's eye and couple the donor tissue to the patient's tissue, all while limiting trauma to the endothelial cells of the donor tissue. Irrigating liquid may also be administered to the patient's eye via the aforementioned holes or additional holes, ports, or voids. The irrigating fluid may remove the need for use of an anterior chamber maintaining device. Also, a protective lip located on the distal portion of the device, or elsewhere, may help protect delicate endothelial cells on the donor tissue as the donor tissue is inserted into eye.10-30-2008
