20110043275SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AN INTEGRATED CIRCUIT IN DIFFERENT OPERATIONAL MODES - A system and method for controlling an IC in different operational modes involves automatically loading operational configurations of target circuitries in the IC for a determined operational mode into at least one register and operating the target circuitries in the IC according to the operational configurations that are automatically loaded into the at least one register.02-24-2011
20110126215EVENT-DRIVEN CPU ARCHITECTURE - Various exemplary embodiments relate to an event-driven microprocessor and a related method. A microprocessor may halt processing instructions when it executes a halting command. Thereafter, an EPU clock may stop its processing cycle and therefore halt microprocessor execution until it receives a start signal by a pattern detector. The pattern detector may use a plurality of bit slices to monitor a plurality of external inputs for the occurrence of events specified by the user. Some embodiments may also allow the user to check functioning by skipping upcoming instructions if a monitored event did not occur. By halting the EPU clock and the execution flow of the microprocessor, the event-driven microprocessor minimizes waste associated with executing a main control loop while waiting for a monitored event to occur. This may save processing capacity, memory, and power associated with continually running the main control loop.05-26-2011

20110040837METHODS AND APPARATUS TO CLASSIFY TEXT COMMUNICATIONS - Methods and apparatus to classify text communications are disclosed. An example method includes determining a first conditional probability of a first feature occurring in a text given that the text belongs to a classification mode, wherein the first feature is included in the text, determining a second conditional probability of a second feature occurring in a text given that the text belongs to the classification mode, wherein the second feature is included in the text, determining a probability of the classification mode occurring, multiplying the first conditional probability, the second conditional probability and the probability of the classification mode to determine a product, and storing the product in a tangible memory as a score that the message belongs to the first classification mode.02-17-2011

20080246385EGGBEATER TRANSPARENT CATHODE FOR MAGNETRONS AND UBITRONS AND RELATED METHODS OF GENERATING HIGH POWER MICROWAVES - An “eggbeater” cathode comprising a transparent cathode including a plurality of longitudinally oriented cathode strips anchored at both ends between support discs and forming an open-walled hollow cylindrical structure. A cathode base is disposed substantially coaxially with a longitudinal axis of the transparent cathode and surrounded by the plurality of cathode strips, wherein the support discs secure the cathode strips to the cathode base and result in a cathode that is more robust in harsh operating environments compared with a simple transparent cathode.10-09-2008
20090058301Magnetron device with mode converter and related methods - The present invention provides a relativistic magnetron with axial extraction, or magnetron with diffraction output (MDO), with a mode converter placed directly within the diffraction output of radiation to effectively convert the operating π-mode into a radiated mode of simpler radiation patterns.03-05-2009
