20100158775Catalyst Systems and Methods for Treating Aircraft Cabin Air - Air treatment catalyst systems and methods for treating the air in the aircraft cabin environment are provided. The catalyst system and method remove ozone, volatile organic compounds, NOx and other pollutants. The catalyst system used to treat the cabin air comprises a plurality of discrete substrates having an ozone abatement catalyst loaded thereon and arranged in a stacked configuration between a source of the air stream and the passenger cabin, the at least the first two substrates adjacent the source of the air stream comprise an iron-based alloy.06-24-2010

20080296250COLLAPSIBLE HANDGRIP - A collapsible handgrip includes a center section and a plurality of elongated members projecting from the center section. Each of the elongated members has a first edge and a second edge opposite the first edge. Moreover, each of the elongated members is pivotable relative to the center section between a first position, in which it extends from the center section in a first direction, and a second position, in which it extends from the center section in a second direction, the first direction being generally opposite to the second direction. Each of the first edges of the elongated members is in a substantially aligned and abutting relationship relative to the second edge of an adjacent one of the elongated members when the elongated members are pivoted to their first positions so as to form a handgrip surface which extends substantially continuously across the elongated members. The handgrip can be used in conjunction with numerous implements, such as covers, caps or lids for containers or bottles, instruments and tools.12-04-2008
20080300523THERAPEUTIC KNEE BRACE HAVING PRESSURE APPLICATORS - A brace for a knee joint including an elongated member and pressure applicators disposed thereon. Each of the pressure applicators may be inserted into a corresponding, closeable pouch on an inner surface of the elongated member. The pouches are arranged on the inner surface to situate the respective pressure applicators in the spaces between the various ligaments, cartilage and bones of the knee joint, so as to prevent applying pressure directly to these tissues and the pain caused thereby. A user may choose to insert all, or some, of the pressure applicators in their respective pouches, depending on nature of the injury. A method using the knee brace to facilitate healing of a knee joint injury is also disclosed.12-04-2008
20110163547APPARATUS FOR CONVERTING THE ENERGY OF WAVES ON A BODY OF WATER - An apparatus converting the energy of waves on an open body of water includes a submerged articulated frame or frames formed of rods arranged largely in a parallelogram. The frame or frames are arranged so that as a wave passes the frames, the frames are distorted by having their rods rotate about connecting pivot points and so move toward and away (as well as relative to) from each other. This movement is then converted into energy. In alternate embodiments, multiple interconnected frames are provided, each pivoting in a respective plane.07-07-2011

20110246134Real Time Statistical Triggers on Data Streams - Logic analyzers and real-time spectrum analyzers use real-time statistical processes as a basis for creating a trigger. The statistical displays within a test and measurement system such as a Logic Analyzer (LA) or Spectrum Analyzer (SA) or other instrument are used in a user interface to define a trigger based on the statistical event itself. In brief, the invention is a Real Time Statistical trigger established by the user through a direct interaction with the Real Time Statistics displays. This interaction can be via a graphical user interface, or the user interface can employ a non-visible display (e.g., a speaker) or input device (e.g., a microphone).10-06-2011

20090043803DATA OBJECT BASED DATA ANALYSIS - A test and measurement instrument and method of operating for presenting data in a data presentation, receiving a data selection indicating a portion of the data presented in the data presentation, generating a data object in response to the data selection, presenting the data object in an analysis sandbox, and generating an analysis construct in response to analysis objects in the analysis sandbox.02-12-2009
20090292500USER INTERFACE FOR ESTABLISHING SYNCHRONOUS SAMPLING CHARACTERISTICS FROM ASYNCHRONOUS DATA ACQUISITIONS - A test and measurement instrument and method of configuring the same is disclosed. The method includes presenting acquired data, where the acquired data includes a plurality of signals; receiving a user input; and defining a sampling characteristic of the test and measurement instrument in response to the user input manipulating the presented acquired data.11-26-2009
