20080228647Method and computer-readable medium for managing an account balance - A method and computer-readable medium for managing an account balance of a user via remote connection to an account database system of a service provider are provided. According to the method, payment information is received from the user via the remote connection for a selected invoice of an account of the user. The payment information is outputted to an external payment service for settlement of payment, and, if the settlement is successful, authorization and settlement data are received from the external payment service and written to a payment file of the user. A transaction record is then written to an account transactions file of the service provider, thereby triggering execution of an accounting program for posting the authorization and settlement data to the user's account and to financial records of the service provider. The updated invoice information may then be outputted to the user.09-18-2008

20090022064Method and apparatus for monitoring multicast bandwidth to a user - A method and apparatus of monitoring multicast bandwidth to user may include monitoring quantity of a multicast group flowing to a user and converting the quantity to bandwidth. The bandwidth may be summed with bandwidth of other multicast groups being monitored for the user to determine a total bandwidth flowing to the user. The method and apparatus may perform an action based on the total bandwidth. A counter may be associated with an identified multicast group requested to be received by the user and monitoring the quantity of the multicast group may include counting a number of bits bytes or other metric of the multicast group. Determining bandwidth allows the system to prevent users from exceeding their allocated bandwidth based on their service level agreement (SLA). The system may also identify dropped multicast group(s) and may also identify bandwidth utilization by reporting a user's bandwidth consumption.01-22-2009
20090067840Method of providing multi-staged IP filters in a point-to-multipoint environment - Various service providers have different architectures to deliver Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) to their subscribers. Some service providers equipment is based on layer 2 IPTV protocol, and other equipment is based on layer 3 IPTV protocol. Within a Passive Optical Network (PON) environment, there may be multiple service providers that employ different delivery techniques to Optical Network Terminals (ONTs). Example embodiments of the invention accommodate these different delivery mechanisms by supporting layer 2 and layer 3 delivery by dynamically configuring traffic filters as a function of a layer and content of an upstream traffic request.03-12-2009

20110292663Non-Opaque Junction Box Cover With Troubleshooting Electronic Circuit Board - A non-opaque junction box cover and troubleshooting electronic circuit board are described. The circuit board has one or more light sources. At least one of the light sources is configured to emit light if power is present at a specific terminal stud within the junction box. The non-opaque junction box cover transmits this light, allowing one to troubleshoot a problem in a vehicle's electrical system without opening the junction box. In one embodiment, the circuit board has holes that align with the terminal studs in the junction box. The holes allow the circuit board to connect to the terminal studs physically and electrically without additional fasteners and wires. In another embodiment, the circuit board is coupled to the non-opaque junction box cover. Proper alignment between the non-opaque junction box cover and the circuit board ensure proper electrical contact between the circuit board and the terminal studs.12-01-2011

20090272739Reusable container - A reusable container has four vertical side walls affixed to a rectangular base that can be moved between an extended position and a folded position. When the vertical side walls are in the extended position, the vertical side walls form a rectangular enclosure about a rectangular base. The rectangular enclosure can be divided into two sections by one or more movable members positioned within the rectangular enclosure for transporting different-sized documents, papers, or files. The vertical side walls may be moved into a folded position when the reusable container is empty to reduce the space required for transporting the empty containers. The reusable container interlocks with other reusable containers stacked on a dolly in either the extended position or the folded position such that stacks of reusable containers can be pushed on a dolly up inclines and over bumps without any restraints.11-05-2009
